Meg Steedle is an American actress. She is best known for her supporting roles in Netflix’s Jupiter’s Legacy, Boardwalk Empire, and Mr. Mercedes.

The actress was born to two dentists. She was raised in Greensboro and graduated from Northwestern University.
Professional Life
Steedle’s interest in acting first took her to the stage where she started performing in various productions. Her film debut was in Slit and Commit as Lydia in 2008, followed by another short film in 2011 titled What’s Life Got to Do With It? The same year, she made her television debut on Body of Proof.
In 2012, Steedle got a major supporting role on the third season of Boardwalk Empire, where she played Lillian “Billie” Kent. This was a breakthrough role for her and led to more opportunities.
In 2013, she appeared in Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 21. The same year she was in American Horror Story: Coven in a small but very challenging role.
2014 saw her appear in NCIS, Perception, and Grey’s Anatomy. In 2015, she was also in Mom, the sitcom series.
In 2015, Steedle got her first leading role as Detective Frankie Pulaski in the first season of The Mysteries of Laura. The same year she got to appear on NCIS: New Orleans.
Steedle appeared in Nashville, and Code Black in 2016, followed by I’m Dying Up Here in 2017.
In 2018, the actress got her feature film debut with Gone Are The Days.
The next year, Steedle was part of the cast for Mr. Mercedes, an adaptation of the Stephen King book of the same name. She played Danielle and appeared in three episodes. The same year she got an appearance on The Magicians.
In 2021, Meg Steedle was featured in Jupiter’s Legacy as Jane, a recurring character who appears in the retelling of main character’s Sheldon past. Jane was his fiancee, but he left her as he embarked on a journey that would ultimately turn Sheldon into a superhero. The show got one spin-off in animated form and, potentially, another live-action series.
In Jupiter’s Legacy, she was seen alongside cast members Ben Daniels, Elena Kampouris, Gracie Dzienny, Ian Quinlan, Josh Duhamel, Kurtwood Smith, Leslie Bibb, Matt Lanter, Tyler Mane, Tenika Davis, Mike Wade, David Julian Hirsh, Conrad Coates and Andrew Horton.
2021 also saw her play Olive Olsen in the TV movie Writing Around the Christmas Tree.

The actress was cast in Boardwalk Empire because she fit the criteria of being beautiful, singing, and dancing, which the creators were looking for. In addition, they praised her energy and unique appeal.
Thanks to her singing, Steedle is part of the soundtrack for Boardwalk Empire, credited on two songs: You’d Be Surprised and Old King Tut (In Old King Tutankhamen’s Day), two songs from the era.
In addition to her acting work, Steedle has one directing credit. She directed the video short Lady in White in 2021. As a producer, she worked on two short films: The Lightkeeper and The Stairs.
For some of her earlier work, the actress is credited as Meg Chambers Steedle. However, she later dropped the Chambers part from her name.
