Kristen Jaymes Stewart comes from a family of entertainment workers, with her father working as a producer and her mother as a director and script supervisor. In addition, she has a Jewish heritage. Stewart has been in a relationship with Dylan Meyer since 2019.
Stewart started acting professionally at a young age. Her first role was in a Disney Channel TV film called The Thirteenth Year. She later appeared in The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas. In 2001, she was in The Safety of Objects. 2002 saw a bigger role for the actress in the thriller Panic Room alongside Jodie Foster, which earned her more recognition and a Young Artist Award nomination.
When she was 14, Stewart got the leading role in Catch That Kid in 2004. She was also in Undertow and Speak, a performance that received significant praise. In 2005, Stewart was in Zathura, followed by performances in Fierce People and The Messengers in 2006.
