Parsons started his career in different Off-Broadway productions and commercials. His first discussed appearance was in a Quiznos commercial from 2003. After that, he appeared on Judging Amy and Ed, two shows. In addition to this, he had small roles in some movies, like Garden State.
He kept auditioning for TV and was cast in The Big Bang Theory. His performance impressed Chuck Lorre a lot, and his ability to do the comedy required made his character a breakout sensation.
