Jason McKinnon is a Canadian actor. He is best known for his performances in Night in the Museum, Wonder, and Firefly Lane, where he played a recurring character, Sean.

Jason McKinnon is married to Emily Livingston. The couple married in 2018 and reportedly met in San Francisco while looking for gigs.
Professional Life
The actor debuted professionally in 1999. He was in Master Keaton, doing the voice of Alexeyev in the English dub.
2006 saw the release of the film Night at the Museum starring Ben Stiller. McKinnon appeared briefly in the movie. The same year he was Stargate SG-1.
In 2011, McKinnon was in Sr. Young playing Bradbury, in Level Up, the TV movie, as Mr. Spenader, and as Brandon in Supernatural. The same year he was in The Troop. 2012 brought him the role of Mr. Spenader in Level Up across two episodes. He also appeared in Fringe. In 2013, the actor played Glenn in How to Be an Actor across various episodes.
In 2015, McKinnon was in The Man in the High Castle, The Flash, and Falling Skies. 2016 saw him appear in Wayward Pines.
2018 saw him play F. Scott Fitzgerald in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The same year he did voice work for projects like Doragaria rosuto, Dinotrux Supercharged, and Bless Online. He was also in The Crossing and Altered Carbon.
In 2019, the actor played Ken in A Million Little Things. The same year he was in Aurora Teagarden Mysteries.
In 2021, the actor was featured in Five More Minutes, Psych 3: This Is Gus, Family Law, Kung Fu, Broken Diamonds, and had a recurring part in Firefly Lane. Firefly Lane tells the story of two women and their friendship with each other throughout their teen years and into adulthood. He played Sean, the older brother of Kate, played by Sarah Chalke. The show goes through several decades of the lives of the two leads and explores how Sean is closeted at one point in his life.
In Firefly lane, he was seen alongside cast members Katherine Heigl, Ali Skovbye, Sarah Chalke, Ben Lawson, Roan Curtis, Yael Yurman, Andres Joseph, Beau Garrett, Brandon Jay Mclaren, Brendan Taylor, Chelah Horsdal, Jenna Rosenow, Jon Michael Ecker, Paul Mcgillion and Quinn Lord.
2022 promises to bring McKinnon back in Green Beret’s Guide to Surviving the Apocalypse and Two Sentence Horror Stories, two TV series.
In addition to his roles, which have been many, especially on television shows and TV movies, the actor has appeared in multiple commercials. He also does voice work professionally and has voiced multiple characters in games and animation.

McKinnon has over 60 acting credits to his name and has appeared in some of the most popular shows, especially in regards to speculative series with sci-fi and fantasy elements.
Quinn Lord played the character of Sean in Firefly Lane at another age in 1974. In the ’90s timeline, McKinnon takes over the character. This is also the case for other characters, as different actors take over the roles to show them as teens or adults.
