His early life and career beginnings

Luke hails from Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, and has a younger sister, Lauren. His mother, Michelle, remarried in 2006 after their divorce. Having had two aunts who were performers on London’s West End, He towed their footsteps and became passionate about being an entertainer from a young age; he loved singing and playing pretend, which made his mother enroll him in amateur theatre groups where he began performing in local productions. An agent then saw him and sent him on his first audition. On getting the job, it became apparent that acting was his calling.
He attended Northbrook College Sussex and went to the Brit School in Croydon, where he formed a band with three others and then trained at the London School of Musical Theater.

Luke’s television debut was in 2010 when he played the main role of Luke Attwood in eleven episodes of the BBC teen drama The Cut. In 2011, he was in an episode of the comedy-drama series Sadie J, portraying Brad, revolving around the life of a high-spirited teenage girl called Sadie, surrounded by male figures in her family as she goes through life, school and friendships.

2013 saw the young actor appear as Richard Brackenbury in one episode of a British period drama Mr. Selfridge. It follows Harry Selfridge, who, on realizing that London needed a department store, struggles to establish a successful one in Oxford street after transforming that of Chicago. Not only is he an onscreen actor, but he’s also a stage performer and portrayed Elder Price in the Book of Mormon in Prince of Wales Theatre London in 2013. He played in two episodes of Doctors, playing Sam Hern, and acted in a short film called Twist and Pulse’s Halloween Thriller in 2014.

From 2016 to 2017, Luke played the role of Ben Evans in the musical drama The Lodge alongside other starring characters. It follows Skye Hart, who moves from the city to rural Ireland with her father, where they begin running a local hotel, North Star, formerly run by her grandfather. At the same time, Luke portrayed the local hotel’s repairman.

The actor starred, among others, in the 2018 American-South African horror series Lake Placid: Legacy and portrayed Ethan in the short film Youth in Bed in 2018 and 2019, respectively. In 2020, the burgeoning actor landed the role of Colin Bridgerton, the third Bridgerton son and Penelope’s close friend in the Netflix regency era drama Bridgerton. The show’s success has gained the English actors wider recognition and fame.
