Jeffrey DeMunn is an American actor. He is best known for appearing in The Green Mile, The Walking Dead, and Billions.

The actor was married to Ann Sekjaer between 1974 and 1995. He married Kerry Leah in 2001. He has two kids.
The actor studied theatre in Britain. After this, he returned to the United States in the ’70s to begin his career on the stage. He appeared in various Shakespearean plays, Off-Broadway productions, and more. In 1983, he earned a Tony Award nomination. His most recent remarkable theatrical role was in A Great Wilderness, where he played Walt.
DeMunn debuted in film in 1980 with roles in films like Resurrection and Christmas Evil. In 1986, he was in The Hitcher, and in 1988, he appeared in The Blob. He would go on to collaborate in multiple films with Frank Darabont. In addition, DeMunn would appear in The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Majestic, and The Mist.
In 1995, the actor portrayed Andrei Chikatilo in Citizen X, which earned him a CableACE Award and a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie. He would go on to have various film roles over the years, appearing in movies like Burn After Reading, Shelter, and more.
DeMunn debuted on television in 1978. Over the years, he would appear in a wide variety of series, including Kojak, Moonlighting, The Twilight Zone, The West Wing, Storm of the Century, and others. In addition, he would appear in a recurring role in Law & Order and in Trial by Jury.
In 2010, he was cast in The Walking Dead. He would remain with the series for two seasons. He appeared in Mob City in 2013.
In 2016, the show Billions started airing. Again, DeMunn was part of the central cast, playing Chuck Rhoades, Sr., the father of the main character Chuck Rhoades, Jr., played by Paul Giamatti. The actor has appeared in 44 episodes so far, and Billions continues to air to critical and commercial success.
DeMunn has earned various awards. He won the Drama Desk Award in 1978 for his performance in A Prayer for My Daughter as Outstanding Featured Actor. In 1983, he was nominated for the Tony Award for his performance as a leading actor in K2. He won the CableACE Award for his role in Citizen X. He was nominated for an Emmy Award in 1995 for the same performance. In 1999, he was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for The Green Mile. In 2006, he won the Drama Desk Award for Stuff Happens. In 2011, he was nominated for the Craig Noel Award for Death of a Salesman.
The actor has appeared in all Frank Darabont films since 1994.
DeMunn was featured in four Stephen King adaptations: The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption, Storm of the Century, and The Mist.
His son Kevin appeared in The Majestic as well.
