Kim Richards is a famous social activist, American actress, and television personality. She began her career as a young actress, and featured roles in Nanny and Professor, Escape to Witch Mountain, and Return from Witch Mountain. In 2010, Richards appeared as a major member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and her sister, Kyle Richards.

She is the daughter of Cathy Richards and Ken Richards. Her sisters are Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton. Her father Ken died in 1998. Her mother Kathleen Kathy was diagnosed with breast cancer the same year. They had separated in 1972.
Nikki and Paris Hilton are her nieces (daughters of her sister Kathy).
She attended Imperial High School in Imperial, California, class of 1983.
In 1985, Richards married Monty Brinson. He was the heir to a supermarket franchise. Later, he became a professional poker player. She has one daughter with him, Brooke Ashley (born February 21, 1986).

On April 15, 2015, Richards was arrested and charged with assault, public intoxication, resisting officers, and assaulting police at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She stayed in the Los Angeles County Jail and was released the next morning on $ 20,000 bail. She was re-arrested on August 2, 2015, allegedly robbing from a store in San Fernando Valley, detained in Van Nuys Prison, and released on August 3 after paying $ 5,000 bail.
