Who is Garcelle Beauvais?
Garcelle Beauvais is an American-Haitian actress. She is best known for appearing on the Bravo reality TV series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, starring on The Jamie Foxx Show, and also being part of the cast for Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Beauvais had a son in her marriage to producer Daniel Sanders before they divorced. In 2001, she married Mike Nilon, a talent agent working with Creative Artists Agency. Their twin sons were born in 2007. In 2010, Beauvais filed for divorce and custody for infidelity.
Garcelle moved to the United States with her mother and siblings when she was just seven.
When she was sixteen, Beauvais moved to Miami to become a model. She was approached by the owner of the agency and, at seventeen, went to New York City and signed with the Ford agency and then with Irene Marie Models. She would work with high-profile brands like Avon, Clairol, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Calvin Klein, and others. She would also appear in commercials. As a result, Beauvais has been on the covers of magazines like Playboy, Essence, Harper’s Bazaar, and more.
Her first role in a television series was an appearance in Miami Vice. Her first official acting role happened when she was just 19, appearing in the popular film Coming to America.
In 1994, she portrayed Cynthia Nichols in Models Inc, a primetime soap opera.
