Personal Life

Hill was married to actress Nicole Lyn between 2004 and 2012. In 2017, he got engaged to Jazmyn Simon. They married in 2018. They have two kids.

Professional Life

Hill started his career in childhood. In 1985, he appeared on the MDA telethon. His first official film role was in 1993 in Sugar Hill.

He got a starring role in Bring in ‘da Noise, Bring in ‘da Funk on Broadway while in college. Then, in 1999, he appeared in She’s All That, starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook. He would also appear in Holes, playing Sam, in 2003. The film also featured Sigourney Weaver and a young Shia LaBeouf.

In 1999, Hill was cast as Charlie Young on The West Wing. He stayed with the series for six seasons and would return for the last episodes of the series as well.

In 2005, he left his role as Young in The West Wing to get a central role in Psych. Psych was a massive hit and lasted for several seasons. Hill played Gus Burton, one of the main characters and the best friend of the central character Shawn Spencer, played by James Roday.

Between 2011 and 2012, the actor appeared on Broadway in Stick Fly. In 2013, he would be featured in After Midnight.

Other notable film roles include The Guardian, Whisper, Gravy, Sleight, Locked Down, and Hypnotic. He would reprise his role as Gus for the Psych sequel films. Psych: The Movie in 2017, Psych 2: Lassie Come Home in 2020, and Psych 3: This Is Gus in 2021.

On television, notable appearances include Ghostwriter, All My Children, 10.5, and more. After Psych ended in 2014, the actor became part of the recurring cast of Ballers throughout seasons 1 to 3. In addition, he would appear as a main cast member in Doubt in 2017.

In 2017, the actor joined the cast of the popular legal drama Suits. He would be a recurring cast member for season 7 and then became a main character for seasons 8 to 9. Suits is a show following the personal and professional lives of several lawyers. Other cast members seen in Suits include Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, Patrick J. Adams, Rick Hoffman, Gina Torres, Meghan Markle, Amanda Schull, Wendell Pierce, Katherine Heigl, David Costabile and DB Woodside.

In 2020, he was in Black Monday. In 2021, he was cast as Bill Williams in The Wonder Years.
