Who is Candice Boucher?
Candice Boucher is a South African playboy model and actress famous for gracing international magazine covers and acting in a Bollywood film, Aazaan.
Durban, South Africa
Her early life and career beginnings
Candice grew up in Durban, where she began modeling as a schoolgirl. She has a brother, Warren Boucher, and a younger sister named Bianca Boucher. For someone who didn’t consider modeling in her early teenage years, it’s a little surprising that she embraced modeling in high school at seventeen, after her friends persuaded her to participate in the school’s annual pageantry, where she emerged victorious with an accompanying photoshoot by a local photographer. The photographer sent her picture portfolio to a South African modeling agency called Models International, and the agency responded promptly, taking her under their wings. She became a locally sought-after young model after that.
Her professional career life
After her high school graduation, Candice moved to Cape Town to pursue a modeling career gracing pages of local and international magazines. She graced the Cosmopolitan cover and for Elle, South African Sports Illustrated, GQ and appeared in advertising campaigns for Fila and Speedo.
Candice modeled for Guess in 2009, joining the likes of Drew Barrymore, Claudia Schiffer, and Adriana Lima, who were all famous Guess models. The stunning model found global recognition after becoming one of the faces of the coveted Guess jeans.
The beautiful brunette shuttling between New York City and South Africa was on the cover of Playboy in April 2010 for daring shots, which were the highlights of her career. While shooting for the magazine, she posed nude for the April edition of the men’s magazine. The pictorial comprised an eight-page shoot in a wildlife habitat in Kenya, with a lion, Zebra, and tribal women appearing in the photoshoot. After the shoot in Kenya that was titled Undressed in Africa, Candice caught the attention of many who adored her sultry and striking looks and afterward, in October 2010, made it to the cover of Sports Illustrated.
Apart from gracing the pages of renowned magazines, landing global campaigns, appearing on billboards worldwide, Candice has landed roles in Bollywood. She starred as Afreen in a 2011 Indian-Hindi action thriller film Aazaan, playing the role of a sand artist. The director of the film, Prashant Chadha, had known her for four years, considering her a fit the part of a Moroccan girl. They hired an acclaimed sand artist from Belarus to train her, and she aced the role.
Although she still models, Candice is now a personal trainer for young women battling body image.
