Gisele’s initial career goal was to become a volleyball player. Still, her mother enrolled her and her two sisters in a modeling course to develop confidence and good posture in 1993. During their trip after their modeling course, Elite Modeling Management scouted her at a shopping mall. She moved to São Paulo in 1995 to launch her modeling career and debuted at New York Fashion Week in 1996.

She faced her fair share of rejection in London before being cast in the Alexander McQueen runway show in 1998. In that same year, she posed for Valentino, Missoni, Ralph Lauren, Versace, and other extensive name campaigns and appeared on her first cover of British Vogue. She left Elite Model Management and signed with IMG models in1999.

Her modeling career was fast-rising, and she won the VH1 Vogue Model of the year. She appeared in major campaigns and a group Vogue cover with many other supermodels, including Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, and other high-caliber models at age 18. She was named The Most Beautiful Girl in the World and became the 4th model to grace Rolling Stone magazine in 2000.

Gisele’s professional career life

Gisele rapidly gained international success as a burgeoning über model, appearing on international Vogue covers, including the American and British editions. In 2000, she opened fashion shows for Spring 2000 Fashion Week, was cast in fashion campaigns, and became the face of Dolce & Gabbana’s fragrance, The One.

She signed a five-year contract with Victoria’s Secret and retired from the runway in 2000, modeling Victoria’s Secret Red Hot Fantasy Bra worth $15 million. She left the company in August 2008.

Gisele graced several covers for the umpteenth time, alone and in groups throughout her successful career, appearing on US Vogue cover, Forbes, TIME, Marie Claire, Allure, Vanity Fair, Esquire, and the likes. She was also involved with many commercial appearances, products representation, and endorsements.

She attained several enviable heights in the industry and made Forbes top-earning models lists, and was named the world’s hottest model by Vogue. Gisele made her mark as the highest-paid model globally from 2002 to 2017.

Her personal life
