Who is Maya Vander?
Her early life and career beginnings
Maya, originally Mayan, grew up in a beautiful small town by the Red Sea, Eilat, with her parents. Coming from a humble background in Israel, Maya knew early in life that she would need to work hard to attain her desired height.
Her parents believed in her and trusted her ability to make decisions, enabling her to move to Amsterdam at twenty. Since she desired to become a model, she searched for a modeling agency to join in Amsterdam, but her efforts proved abortive with many rejections. Then, fortune smiled on her, and she found one. The agency she signed with was able to help diversify her career, booking jobs not only in Amsterdam but in other countries, including Singapore and Malaysia.
Maya’s professional career life
When twenty-two years old Maya got to Los Angeles, California, in 2002, she went into the real estate industry. Her mother later advised her to get a license, and she began studying for the exam; she took it and was able to work in a small brokerage firm in Beverly Hills, California. After working a while with the small firm, she moved to Keller Williams and joined the Oppenheim Group a year later.
She already knew the Oppenheim brothers, Bett and Jason, from the industry. Being an acquaintance of theirs gave her an insight into what they were about. She loved their marketing tactics, great listings and was aware of how identifying with them would enormously impact her career.
The realtor worked hard and began attracting new clients, upped her marketing skills a notch, negotiation skills, and developed a more robust work ethic. Fortunately, her career began flourishing with even better opportunities on the way.
As a licensed Oppenheim Group agent, she naturally joined the cast of Selling Sunset, a Netflix reality television series that premiered on March 21, 2019. The show centers around the Los Angeles-based group, individual listings, and glamorous lives. It became a turning point in the life of the stunning model turned real estate agent, causing her career to blossom and become an overnight sensation.
Maya is also a businesswoman who owns an online shop, Effortless Luxury with Maya Vander, where she sells art canvases.
Her personal life
Maya met Dave at a bar in Santa Monica back in August 2014. They went into a relationship and tied the knot in June 2017. They both have two children, Aiden and Elle Madison, but, unfortunately, she lost their last child to stillbirth and took to her Instagram page of 1 million followers to express her grief.
The family-oriented hustler lives in Miami while traveling to Los Angeles for shootings and meeting essential clients.
