His early life and career beginnings
Rob’s parents, attorney Robert Kardashian and wife Kris Jenner raised him in affluence alongside his older siblings, Kourtney, Kim and Khloé, in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. Following his parents’ divorce in 1991, his mother remarried to an Olympian medalist Bruce Jenner. They moved to Calabasas, where he gained half-sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner and step-siblings Burt, Brandon, Brody and Casey.
Initially, Rob aspired to tow his father’s career steps, wanting to study law, but he didn’t follow through. Instead, he graduated from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business in 2009. A few years after graduating, he tweeted his plans to begin law studies but never got around to doing it.
Rob’s professional career
Rob shot into the limelight after his family’s reality tv show Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered in 2007. Although he didn’t appear regularly like his sisters because of his reclusiveness and mental health, he was still an integral part of the show as the only brother of the Kardashians. He occasionally made appearances and gained global recognition despite keeping off from the public eye.

In 2011, Rob contested on season 13 of Dancing with the Stars, paired with dancer Cheryl Burke. He made it past the fourth week after facing a near-elimination. His dance skills improved tremendously, leading to the finals alongside his dance partner Cheryl and they emerged second place.
Coming from a family of business moguls and having a momager like Kris Jenner, it’s unsurprising that in 2012, Rob ventured into business, developing a sock line called Arthur George, stemming from the combination of his and father’s middle names. His versatility led him to appear among the final judges of Miss USA 2012 and also in FOX’s dating game show The Choice in the same year.
He starred in a spin-off of KUWTK Rob & Chyna, which debuted on September 11, 2016, focusing on Rob’s relationship with his pregnant fiancé, Blac Chyna. After their child’s birth in November, the show concluded in December following a health scare and disengagement from Blac Chyna.
His personal life
Rob experienced so much difficulty struggling with his mental health, weight gain and building confidence. He kept away from family gatherings, skipped appearing on KUWTK and even missed his elder sister Kim’s wedding to Kanye West in May 2014 owing to his depressive state of mind.
Having dated Adrienne Bailon in 2007, their relationship ended in 2009, and singer Rita Ora came into the picture in 2012. He later began dating an old-time friend, a former stripper and tv personality Black Chyna in January 2016, whom he credits for helping him recover from depression and regain control of his life. They announced their engagement on April 5, 2016, and welcomed their daughter, Dream Renee Kardashian, on November 10, 2017. A month later, they separated and are currently battling legal custody of their daughter.
