Personal Life

Odom had three kids with Liza Morales, but one son, Jayden, died while still an infant. In 2009, the athlete married Khloé Kardashian after only a month of dating. In 2012, their relationship was the focus of Khloé & Lamar, a show that lasted two seasons.

Professional Life

Odom started player in high school and earned the honors as national player of the year in 1997. Then, he moved to play college basketball, earning more honors while at the University of Rhode Island. He was selected for Los Angeles Clippers in the 1999 NBA draft, and in 2000, he made it to the NBA All-Rookie team.

Odom spent four seasons with the Clippers. Then he signed to the Miami Heat, staying there between 2003 and 2004 when he was traded to the Lakers. Odom stayed with the Lakers for seven years until a trade to the Dallas’ Mavericks. This move was not the best, and he ended up traded to the Clipper in 2012 and then went to play in Spain in 2014 for Baskonia. However, he had a back injury that cut this part of his career short.

Odom intended to play for China but instead joined the Philippine club Mighty Sports and played in Dubai. He intended to go back to professional basketball via the Big3 league. In 2004, Odom was part of the national team in the Olympics and got a bronze medal. Odom won championships in 2009 and 2010 and got the distinction of being named NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2010.

Odom became the first player ever to win the NBA championship and the FIBA gold in the same year.
