Her early life and career beginnings

Chrishell had a difficult childhood, riddled with poverty. Her name Chrishell stems from her mother’s car trouble while pregnant. She had gone to a gas station and went into labor. A man, Chris, who worked there, was kind to her and held her hand, so she found a way of incorporating his name into her daughter’s name in appreciation for his kindness.

Chrishell attended Murray State University, where she graduated in 2003 with a BA in theater. She has four sisters, including Shonda, who made an appearance on the premiere of Selling Sunset.

Chrishell’s professional career life

Chrishell defied all odds to build the life of her dreams. She began acting, portraying Amanda Dillon on the soap opera All My Children, from 2005 to 2011. After the show’s cancellation, she snagged a guest-starring role on the series Body of Proof and became a member of The Groundlings, an improv and sketch comedy troupe based in LA, California.

For someone who had no prior connection with Hollywood, she was hellbent on succeeding and soon joined the cast of NBC daytime soap opera in 2013, Days of Our Lives. After leaving the show in 2015, they announced that she would reprise her character as Jordan Ridgeway in 2019.

In 2015, the beautiful actress made a guest appearance in the television series Mistresses, and in 2016, she joined the cast of The Young and the Restless as Bethany Bryant. Her first leading role was also in 2017 when she appeared in the thriller Eve of Abduction.

Despite her burgeoning career, the multifaceted actress has ventured into several businesses, including getting her real estate license. Snagging a spot on Selling Sunset, a Netflix reality TV show, was a game-changer that thrust her into the limelight. The show focuses on the Oppenheim Group, a real estate brokerage firm specializing in luxury homes. Being a part of the show helped to spiral her real estate career; although people doubted her career path, she readily showed evidence to back it up.

In Selling Sunset, she worked along side cast members Mary Fitzgerald, Heather Rae Young, Christine Quinn, Jason Oppenheim, Amanza Smith, Brett Oppenheim, Romain Bonnet, and Maya Vander.

Chrishell competed on the 29th season of the show, Dancing with the Stars but got eliminated in the eighth week.

Her personal life

Chrishell, who resides in St. Louis, has had her fair share of broken relationships. She and Justin Hartley were married on October 28, 2017. Their marriage was short-lived after Justin abruptly filed for a divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

Sadly, Chrishell lost both parents tragically to lung cancer between 2019 and 2020. Losing both parents in one year took a toll on the actress who shared her grief on her Instagram.

Her Instagram page boasts 2.8 million followers who adore her, and it’s also an avenue of posting her house listings.
