Who is Keir O’Donnell?

Keir O’Donnell is an American-Australian actor, from Sydney, Australia. He is probably most remembered for appearing in such films as Paul Blart: Mall Cop, American Sniper, The Break-Up, and Wedding Crashers, as well as having numerous television appearances throughout the years.

Early life before fame:

Kei O’Donnell attended high school at The Bromfield School. He has stated that he was very lucky that the school had a drama department in which he was actively involved and appeared in numerous productions in the community theater, as well as the festival circuit.
When 1996 came around, he was awarded the prestigious Massachusetts High School Drama Guild Acting Scholarship. After graduation, he decided to join the first class of the newly created four-year theatre acting conservatory located at The Hartt Scholl in Hartford, Connecticut. After Hartt School of Theatre was established by Malcolm Morrison and Alan Rust Keir was lucky enough to get a part in numerous plays there. He appeared in Philadelphia Here I come, Twelfth Night, Lysistrata, Three Sisters, and also played Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, opposite fellow actress Hannah Mello. After his graduation in 2000, he was immediately accepted in Hartford Stage Co. Regional Theatre, where he got to star in A Christmas Carol and Macbeth. Later on, in the fall of 2011, he was cast as the lead role in the US premiere of The Man Who NEver Yet Saw Woman’s Nakedness, which was produced by Moritz Rinke and premiered at The Odyssey Theatre in West Los Angeles.

Keir starred in several independent and student films, after which he landed a role as Todd Cleary in the popular 2005 American comedy series Wedding Crashers. This role proved to be his breakout role, and the movie went on the become the highest-grossing R-Rated comedy of all time. After his role in Wedding Crashers, Vince Vaughn himself invited O’Donnell to join on his Wild West Comedy Tour. The tour hit 30 cities in 30 days across the whole country. Keir would, later on, appear on stage with Vince Vaughn as a special guest doing various improv skits. The tour was even filmed and can be seen in the documentary “Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show.

In 2002 he played Todd Jarvis in Splat!, a troubled teen who enjoyed playing paintball professionally. Later on, O’Donnell teamed up with Vince Vaughn again in the movie The Break-Up. He also co-starred in the indie comedy film Flakes, together with Zooey Deschanel (2007). Keir also appeared in the film Noise, written and directed by Henry Bean, and it was featured at the 2008 Toronto Film Festival. In 2010 Keir O’Donnell appeared as the villain Veck Simms in Paul Blart: Mall Cop (A romantic comedy). Later on, he played alongside Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel in When in Rome (2010).

His most recent role was when he appeared in Drunk History as Mullen, as well as Into the Dark, where he played Larry Adams in the episode “I’m Just F*cking With You” (2019).
