Born Mark Sinclair, the actor has kept his personal life mostly under wraps. However, it is known that he used to date Michelle Rodriguez. Since 2007, he has been in a relationship with Paloma Jimenez, a Mexican model, and the couple has three kids.
Professional Life
Diesel started acting as a kid, but his career began in 1990 with an uncredited appearance in Awakenings. In 1994, he wrote, directed, produced, and appeared in the film Multi-Facial, which was screened at the Cannes film festival. In 1997, the actor directed his first feature film. In 1998, he appeared in a small role in Saving Private Ryan.
1999 saw Diesel’s first big voice acting role with The Iron Giant, where he voiced the titular character. Shortly after, he began building a name for himself as an action star and appearing in many genre films, such as the first Fast & Furious, XXX, and The Chronicles of Riddick. He chose to reprise his roles in the sequels to many of these films, bringing characters like Riddick and Dominic Torreto back several times.
Vin Diesel began appearing in other action films and also comedies that spoofed his action-hero persona, such as 2005’s The Pacifier, as well as some dramatic roles such as the 2006’s Find Me Guilty.
In 2014, Vin Diesel voiced the character Groot. He would reprise this role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in 2017, Avengers: Infinity War in 2018, Avengers: Endgame in 2019, and even the animated Disney film Ralph Breaks the Internet in 2018. He is also scheduled to appear as Groot in Thor: Love and Thunder, the upcoming 2022
movie. He also appeared as Bloodshot in the 2020 eponymous movie.
The actor also founded the production company One Race Films, the record label Racetrack Records, and Tigon Studios, a video game development company. In 2020, Vin Diesel first entered the music world, releasing the song Feel Like I Do, produced by Kygo.
Vin Diesel is one of the highest-earning actors at the box office, especially thanks to his hit Fast & Furious franchise, wherein he worked along with cast members Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.
