About Weronika Rosati
Weronika Rosati is a Polish actress. She made her acting debut in 2000 when she gained recognition for portraying Anya in the Polish soap opera M jak miłość, which ran from 2002-2005, and then had a renewal in 2018 running for another two years. She has also appeared in several other Polish television series before finally acquiring her first film role, Patryk Vega’s 2005 action drama movie Pitbull. It went on to become a cult film in Poland. Her most critically acclaimed roles have been in such films as Obława, which earned her a nomination for Best Actress in Polish Film Awards. Her other big role was in the Polish-German comedy-drama film Never Gonna Snow Again.
Weronika became an international celebrity when she appeared in a small role for David Lynch’s 2006 film Inland Empire. Ever since that, she has appeared in many English films such as Bullet to the Head (2013), Largo Winch II (2011), The Iceman (2013), and USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage (2016).
Early life before fame
Weronika Rosati was born to a Polish-Italian family, and her fathers’ name is Dariusz Rosati. He is a professor of economics and a former member of the European Parliament, while Weronika’s mother is Teresa, a Polish fashion designer. Weronika also has an older brother named Marcin, who is 12 years older than her. When Weronika was two years old, she moved with her family to Princeton, New Jersey, where Weronika’s father worked as a lecturer. When she was six years old, they moved to Switzerland, where they would spend another five years, before finally deciding to return to Poland. All the traveling and time spent abroad made Weronika fluent in French and English.
When Weronika was a teenager, she attended a local theatre club at Warsaw Ochota Theatre and trained to be a dancer and an acrobat at the Warsaw Studio Buffo Theatre. Weronika also studied in Halina and Jan MAchulski Private Acting School in Warsaw.
When she was 21, she moved to New York to study in various acting schools, including Larry Moss Studio, Ivana Chubbuck Studio, Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatres, and also graduated from Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Her acting career
Weronika made her acting debut when she played “Niki” in the Polish television series Klasa na obcasach, after which she appeared in numerous Polish television productions. In 2015 Rosati was cast to play Kamila in the TVP1 original television series Strażacy and also made an appearance in the popular crime television series True Detective (Portraying the prostitute Agnes). The following year she also appeared in season 11 of the American dark fantasy television series Supernatural as French agent Delphine Seydoux.
From 2005 Weronika was in a relationship with Polish_American journalist Max Kolonko. In 2013 Rosati was in a car accident when her boyfriend Piotr Adamczyk lost control of the car and collided with another car. She sustained a leg injury which kept her from acting for several months. She is a vegan and is currently single.
