Who is Chelsea Zhang?

Chelsea Zhang is an American actress, born on November 4, 1996. She is probably most famously known for her amazing portrayal of Rose Wilson in the DC Universe comic book TV series Titans, where she has been portraying the character since 2019. Chelsea has also had recurring roles in the Disney Channel series “Andi Mack,” which ran from 2017-2018, as well as having appeared in the Netflix original post-apocalyptic comedy-drama Daybreak, which premiered on October 24, 2019. Her other notable roles also include starring in “Me and Earl” and the Dying Girl (2015).

Early life before fame and upbringing

Chelsea Zhang was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in a loving family where she has a younger brother Kyle. When she was a junior, she attended the Junior Olympic figure skating qualifier in her preteens, where she qualified in the top three, making her a successful Olympic figure skater alongside an established actress. Later on, at the tender age of 16, she was accepted into the esteemed University of Southern California, where she would spend the next 5 years of her life until graduation. She has stated that at a few points during the time while studying, she had been thinking about leaving university in order to pursue her dream of acting full-time by that age already. But she instead stayed there and graduated. Afterward, she even got a degree in Business Administration, which she received in 2017 from the reputable Marshall School of Business, located in Southern California.

Her acting career

Chelsea made her successful acting debut in the 2012 film The Perks of Being a Wallflower, where she played the Shakespeare girl to great approval from viewers portraying a convincing character. Later on, she got her breakout role as Naomi in the 2015 film Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, an American comedy-drama film that focuses on the relationship between 3 characters and their turmoils as they discover that one of their friends is slowly dying from a deadly illness. The film was very well received, and this put Chelsea on the front of many newspaper tabloids and opened her acting doors to an array of roles. After that, from 2017 to 2018, Chelsea played a recurring role in the cult-classic supernatural mystery series “The Fringe,” where she was Brittany, Bex Mack’s boss, during the first and second season of the show. She also appeared on the Disney Channel’s Andi Mack, a family comedy-drama series that aired from 2017 to 2019.
