Who is Amy Steel?

Amy Steel is an American actress. Amy got into acting in 1973 when she began attending Westtown school of dramatic arts, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania. After spending two consecutive summers training drama acting, Amy starred in the productions of Barley-Sheaf Players. Later on, she temporarily left the theatre so that she could pursue an academic career at the esteemed Kent school in Kent, Connecticut.

When Amy first moved to New York to pursue her career as a model, she lived together with five other girls in a one-bedroom apartment which was located on 63rd and Lexington street. Amy had to sleep on the couch. Amy also auditioned for Lethal Weapon 3, where she had to kiss Mel Gibson during one of the screenings. Amy recalls that it felt very weird, and she was glad that the role ultimately went to actress Rene Russo.
