Susan Walters is an American actress and a former model. Susan Walters is best known for her extended role in the ABC daytime soap opera Loving, where she played the character of Lorna Forbes. The show ran from 1983 to 1989. She has also played Diane Jenkins on the CBS soap opera The Young and The Restless, which ran from 2001 to 2004, and briefly resumed for a season in 2010. Susan has also seen a fair share of other recurring roles, namely Principal Rimkus on HW’s One Tree Hill, she has also played Carol Lockwood on The CW’s The Vampire Diaries, and she was also seen as Natalie Martin on the MTV series Teen Wolf.

Her life and career
She was born in Georgia, Atlanta, where Susan attended the esteemed Chamblee High School. She was also crowned Miss Teen All American in 1981 while she was representing Georgia.
Her first television roles came way back in June of 1983, and she’s been an active actress ever since.
Director Aaron Spelling has used Walters in several of his productions, one of them being the TV show Hotel where Walters played Ryan Thomas, and she also played a part in Elvis and Me, portraying Elvis’ wife, Priscilla Presley. Susan was also cast in Melrose Place as Tiffany Hart and in Nightingales as Bridget Loring.
From 2001 through 2004, Walters had returned to a daytime soap opera where she took the role of Diane Jenkins on The Young and the Restless. In 2010, she even managed to reprise her role again after the show was renewed for a season.
Susan Walters personal life and family
Walters is a happily wedded wife to a fellow actor by the name of Linden Ashby. Linden portrayed Dr. Brett Cooper on the final seasons of Fox’s soap opera Melrose Place which ran from 1997 to 1999.
Susan met Linden on the set of Loving, where they played cousins, Curtis Alden and Lorna Forbes. The pair immediately hit it off and quickly became lovers. They have often shared the big screen with one another on such TV series as Loving, Melrose Place, The War Next Door, Spy Games, Teen Wolf, and most recently on The Young and The Restless.
They have two beautiful children together, both of them daughters. Their eldest daughter called Frances Grace, was born in 1991, and Savannah Elizabeth followed a year after in 1992.
The couple seems to be happy and living their lives in harmony, by what Susan has shared in other interviews.
Being on Seinfeld
An interesting fact that many do not know is the fact that Susan has even appeared in the all-time classic sitcom Seinfeld, where she played the opposite to the great Jerry Seinfeld acting as her sister in the series. Jerry Seinfeld has stated in other interviews that he was very happy working with Susan and would do so again given the opportunity.
