Who is Paul Amos?
Paul Amos is a Welsh actor and web series producer. He is probably most remembered for his portrayal of Vex on the popular TV series Lost Girl, as well as portraying Doctor Roberts on Murdoch Mysteries.
Pencoed, Wales, UK
Life before fame
Paul grew up in the small city of Pencoed, and he knew he wanted to become an actor from an early age, so when it came to applying for a school, he attended “Welsh school of arts” when growing up. After that, he studied at the esteemed London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Paul got his breakout role in 2002 when he was cast to appear in Four Feet.
Paul Amos was used for the motion capture of the video game character Jacob Frye in the popular video game series Assasin’s Creed: Syndicate. He also lent his voice to the character making this Paul’s only appearance in a video game to date. He was praised by video game critics for his portrayal of the character in-game, and Paul has expressed interest to return to the franchise in the future if he was asked to. Some interesting trivia regarding the video game is that Victoria Atkin voiced Evie Frye, Jacob’s sister in Assasin’s Creed.
Family life and relationships
Paul lived most of his life in his home city of Pencoed, Wales but decided to move to Toronto, Canada, when he turned 30. Paul spent a couple of years attending the Stratford Festival Of Canada, where he managed to develop an impressive resume of TV credits, having worked on a number of respectable projects such as Combat Hospital, Warehouse 13, Degrassi goes to Hollywood, Mudpit, She’s the Mayor, Casualty, as well as several indie feature films.
He also appeared in the animated web series adaptation of Captain Canuck. This turned out to be a great decision for the talented actor as after moving there, he met his future wife, Linda. He had been at a friend’s party and took an interest in her. After a few months of dating, the pair announced that they are expecting a daughter, and he became a father. After a while, the pair started seeing that their world views aren’t aligning and that they are going on different paths in life, so they divorced, although they still share the custody of their daughter and have remained good friends throughout the years.
