Who is Matt Bomer?
Matt Bomer is an American actor. He is best known for starring in White Collar and his roles in Doom Patrol, The Sinner, and Magic Mike.

Bomer married Simon Halls in 2011 but only made the marriage public in 2014. The couple has three children. In 2012, Bomer openly came out as gay.
Bomer debuted on television in 2000 in All My Children. He was hired for Guiding Light shortly after graduation. He also began to appear on primetime television, with appearances on series like Tru Calling.
In 2005, Bomer moved to the big screen with the thriller film Flightplan. In 2007, he was cast in a recurring role in the television series Chuck, where he played the main character’s rival and friend.
In 2009, Bomer got a role that would become iconic. He played Neal Caffrey, the main character in White Collar. The series follows an art thief and conman who has to work with the White Collar division. The series was a hit and lasted until 2014.
Bomer appeared in In Time in 2011. In 2012, he was in Magic Mike and would go on to reprise the role for the Magic Mike sequel in 2015. In 2014, he was in Winter’s Tale. In 2016, the actor appeared in The Nice Guys.
His role in The Normal Heart in 2015 earned him a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award. He would also appear in American Horror Story, in a guest role in the fourth season and as a main cast member starting with the fifth season.
In 2017, Bomer appeared in Walking Out, Anything, followed by Papi Chulo in 2018. He also appeared in the Netflix series Sinner.
Since 2019, Bomer has portrayed Larry Trainor in Doom Patrol, the DC Universe series following a group of superpowered misfits.
Other appearances include series like The Last Tycoon, where he appeared as Monroe Stahr for nine episodes, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, Will & Grace as McCoy Whitman,
The actor has also done extensive theater work. He was in 8 on Broadway and was in The Boys in the Band in 2018, reprising the role for the 2020 film adaptation. In addition, he is set to appear in 2022’s Echoes as Jack Beck and the upcoming Fellow Travelers.
Bomer is an LGBTQ rights activist.
He has practiced Transcendental Meditation since he was young.
Bomer is a talented singer who has showcased his talents in many productions. On television, he sang on White Collar and also on Doom Patrol, covering the song People Like Us in a memorable sequence.
He attended Carnegie Mellon University.
His cousin is the actress Courtney Cox. His father is John Bomer, a former Dallas Cowboy.
The actor was very close to playing Superman in live-action, but when the original director changed, Brandon Routh was cast instead. So instead, he joined the DC Universe in Doom Patrol.
