He is an American actor, podcast host, and voiceover artist, best known for voicing Master Shake on Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Granny Cuyler on Squidbillies, and Baby Ball on Ballmastrz: 9009. Moreover, he also voiced Dr. Whang on Adult Swim’s Minoriteam, Gazpacho on Cartoon Network’s animated series Chowder, and Dr. Colosso on Nickelodeon’s comedy series The Thundermans.

Early life

Snyder was born on November 14, 1973, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. But, he grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was inspired by Don Rickles, Rip Taylor, and Phil Silvers in childhood. Snyder completed his graduation from Las Vegas High School in 1992. After that, he did BFA from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University, Missouri, in 1996.

Snyder was first hired as a voiceover artist to voice Master Shake on Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Dave Willis took his audition on a phone call. After that, Snyder provided the voice of Todd and Benny Lee on the G4TV show Code Monkeys, Granny Cuyler on Squidbillies, Leonard the Koala in The Penguins of Madagascar, a teacher named “Mr. Baldwin” in the Fish Hooks series, and “The Alchemist” on The Venture Bros. He also provided the voices of Sam as well as Cold Fusion Reactor Dad on the web series Suicide by Side. Snyder co-produced and narrated the Adult Swim web series Sipes Stories.

Stage acting

Snyder and Dave Willis went on a tour called Dave & Dana: Stars of Aqua Teen! On April 15, 2010. after a couple of months, he appeared as Max Bialystock in the Lyceum Theatre’s production of Mel Brooks’s The Producers in Arrow Rock, Missouri. He again played Max Bialystock next year in The Producers at the Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, Florida. Besides this, Snyder has also worked in the Lyceum Theatre 2011 productions of Run For Your Wife, Damn Yankees, and The Sound of Music.

Snyder has made guest appearances on Brothers and Sisters, E.R., and Gary Unmarried. He also appeared in Saul of the Mole Men, The Young Person’s Guide to History, and Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell.

Podcasts

Snyder started to host a podcast while working in different fields. He first co-hosted the Ken P.D. Snydecast with Ken “Plumey” Plume came in 2006. In late 2013, Dana started co-hosting another podcast named Drunk on Disney with Guy Hutchinson. After ending his first podcast show in 2017, Snyder has been hosting Dino and Dana’s Safe Space, Starring Spencer and Tish with Dino Stamatopoulos, Spencer Crittenden, and Tish Burns since 2018.

Personal life

There isn’t much information about his personal life. However, what we know is that he married Christine “Sweety” Snyder (née Ciccone) in August 2005. They have one daughter, who was born in June 2014, after nine years of their marriage.
