BB HAIR XO provides Luxury Russian and Slavic virgin hair extensions that are worn by A-list celebrities, shares Founder Bailey Buchynski.

Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Bailey Buchynski, the owner of BB HAIR XO, a high-quality luxury hair extension business. 

Please tell us about what it is that you do.

I started my business full-time in 2018. I started out doing hair. Now I have my own hair line and supply clip-ins to my customers and mainly supply salons and stylists with a super high-quality hair line that lasts up to 2 years. 

Please tell us more about your journey.

I was in school for a hospital unit clerk and decided it wasn’t for me, and I always knew I loved doing hair. So, I decided to completely switch directions and start doing hair. And then I found out I love doing extensions, so now, after a few rough years, my business is growing. And I am so happy my journey is continuing, even after covid I have been blessed with loyal customers. Now all I want to do is continue to focus on my business and grow.

My company supplies the highest quality luxury Russian and Slavic virgin hair extensions you can find in the market. This hair is hard to acquire and a little higher price than “Google search” extensions, but it is worth it for hair that looks and feels natural and lasts the longest. The hair quality is the type all A-list celebrities are wearing right now, and it is hard to find true authentic hair of this type. We are based in Canada and proudly Canadian, but we also supply to multiple salons in the USA and hopefully be expanding worldwide soon!

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

Along my journey so far, I have learned nobody is your competition and to not focus on what other people are doing, but more or less focus on my own stuff. I have learned that raising others up helps you thrive in the long run. With BB HAIR XO, I decided I wanted to help small businesses, especially ones that are run by women, to thrive and get their names out. If they grow, then I grow, so why not grow together?

Starting a business is super tough, and don’t get it twisted when you see business owners and them living their dreams, and it looks all amazing because it isn’t. There are sleepless nights, if not days, weeks with no money, and weeks with tons of money, crying yourself to sleep at night and thriving so much you are so excited you can’t sleep. 

There are ups and downs to everything, and you need to work hard to achieve your dreams, but if you want to live your life on your own terms, it’s all worth it in the end, and the journey teaches you so much.
