Early life before fame
Aisling grew up in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. She is the daughter of Irish parents. Her mother’s name is Eileen, and her father is called Paddy. Aisling has an older sister called Aoife.
Aisling knew she wanted to become an actress from a very early age, and by the time she was nine, she was already performing at the Carlton Workshops and later on to her A-Levels at the Becket School in Nottingham. Her acting career
Aisling had her breakthrough role when she appeared in an episode of Peak Practice in 2000. After her first role, she was quickly noticed by other casting directors and producers and went on to appear in such television series as the British police procedural drama The Bill, British medical soap opera Doctors, British medical drama series Casualty, and ITV’s comedy-drama The Fattest Man in Britain starring opposite Timothy Spall and Bobby Ball.
Aisling was described as “a star of tomorrow” by Screen International magazine in 2008. She also appeared in Daniel Elliot’s short film Jade, for which she won a Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2009.
2010 was a good year for Aisling, as she was cast in the BBC drama Five Daughters as the murder victim Gemma Adams.
