Music Artist Hal Savar Creates a Buzz Again With His Highly Acclaimed EP ‘Next Year Revisited’

Hal Savar is inviting readers to celebrate the anniversary of his hit song Next Year by releasing a special project that makes this track shine and is sure to thrill old and new fans of the Artist.

Hal Savar is a Las Vegas-based guitar player, singer, and songwriter who is making quite a lot of noise in the local music scene and reaching listeners across the world through his streaming platforms. Currently, Savar is fully dedicated to music and is working as a musician, playing live request-based shows several nights a week in the city.

There is quite a special story behind ‘Next Year’, one that adds excitement to the current release, which is a project that repackages the original and explores it in a new way to take advantage of the best elements of the track. Next Year was written during the pandemic and was meant to be an anthem celebrating the idea that things have to get better. Everything changes, and nothing stays the same, so why can’t things get better in the future? They sure can! Next Year is an uplifting track that brought a lot of hope to listeners and was one of the nine singles Savar released in late 2022, just before 2023. Now, to celebrate the anniversary of this track, the Artist has decided to expand on his original concept through an EP.

Hal-Savar-Next-Year-Revisited

Next Year Revisited features three distinctive versions of the song and reinforces the powerful message and meaning behind it. Each version offers something new and special, and listeners might find these separate options to add to the overall experience and deepen their engagement with this piece of art. Next Year Unplugged is a live acoustic version, played in the studio series from Framingham, Massachusetts Public Access Channel. This makes a perfect complement to Next Year Alive, a live version, as the name suggests, performed alongside a band featuring seven instruments. The EP closes off with Next Year Revisited, an alternate version of the song with improved production and a more organic nature that turns it into a wonderful listening experience.

Hal is known for his distinctive raspy voice and percussive playing style. The Artist often performs amazing shows and masterfully blends a variety of genres. He is not afraid to go from pop and rock to folk and blues, giving them a modern twist.

Hal is committed to releasing new music, always with top-notch quality, every six to eight weeks, so there is always a new track just around the corner. If you want to see him live, he plays several shows in Las Vegas, which you can learn more about through social media.

We had the pleasure of interviewing the Artist. Here are excerpts from the interview.

Hi, Please introduce yourself and tell us about what it is that you do.

My name is Hal Savar. I’m a self-taught singer-songwriter-guitarist who lives in Vegas and makes a living playing request shows a few nights a week.

Can you please tell us about your journey?

When I was younger, my family moved around every few years because my stepdad was in the military. When I felt the most lonely, I found that music made me feel better. As high school was ending, I started writing my own music, and I started taking every show I could possibly find as a unique cover artist, playing 4 to 5 shows a week in Las Vegas. As my career progressed, my personal life also changed for the better. I met a really awesome girl, and over the course of 10 years, we had two kids. a girl named Violet and then, six years later, a boy named Memphis. After the pandemic, I realized I had put my original music on a back burner, and I didn’t want to waste any more time. So, I made it my mission to really create good quality songs that would help people feel better and connected. The first thing I did was independently try and film a docuseries called “Highway to Hal” about my journey trying to make it and be successful in the music business, and I took my family on the road! When I got home, I started recording my music and remedying a new single every six weeks for a year.

Please tell us about your Song ‘Next Year’.

During the pandemic, I wrote a song called Next Year. The song is meant to be a hopeful and uplifting song about how things will inevitably get better because nothing ever truly stays the same. So Next Year was the first of 9 singles I released in 2023, with Next Year being available right before New Year’s in Late December of 2022.

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the song, I am releasing a three-song EP called ‘Next Year Revisited,’ which has three very distinct separate versions of the song because it means so much to me. There’s Next Year Alive – Which is a live version with a seven-piece band!

Next Year Unplugged – is a live acoustic version of the song that I played on the in-studio series from Framingham Massachusetts public access channel. Last is Next Year Revisited – which is an alternate, more organic, fully produced version of the song.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

First and foremost, it’s important to be real and authentic. It also helps that every time I have an opportunity to perform in front of people; I put everything I have into every song. I think feeling passionate about the art that I’m creating while wanting to be truly successful for my family and reach the most people possible to add something positive to the world helps get me through whatever normal self-doubt I’ve had. Also, realizing at some point that I don’t know everything and that there are people who know more than I do about things has helped. It’s good to set foolish pride away while you continue to learn and grow with help from other people.
