CRASH is the new single from GRIPPA. It is the fresh, latest release from her EP, IS THAT HER?, which is already becoming popular. The artist is known for her unique style, distinctive aesthetic, and, of course, her gorgeous vocals and powerful songs.
GRIPPA is a singer and songwriter. She has her goals clear, as she wants to become a pop singer and is climbing through the difficult obstacles of the music world to achieve her goal. She is a talented singer and songwriter with a lot to offer. GRIPPA had her start in musical theater, and she wrote IS THAT HER? together with YX, a New York music producer, to make the transition into the pop scene.
CRASH is a song that showcases GRIPPA’s talent in creating a slow, sad song with a lot of optimism. It’s about healing a relationship that seemed to be over. The track is profound and emotional, vulnerable, and with a touch of hope that keeps listeners wistful.
GRIPPA offers a unique aesthetic, a blend of pop art and Gen Z symbols, like tiny plastic babies and bean cans. But her eccentric approach does not mean that her lyrics are not deep. She freely explores deep themes and hard truths that show in her songs, a mix of chaotic and fascinating, a desire to understand the strange things that fill this world. GRIPPA knows and uses memes, her attitude is sharp enough to cut someone careless, and she is unapologetically herself. Her music could be enjoyed by those looking for someone who is not pretending or setting herself up to be a diva, instead allowing her true self to shine through in each song.
Her first release was BEANS, about unrequited love and heartbreak. GRIPPA’s goal was to make a song that could inspire people to move forward and leave behind the unrequited love that would hound them. Here, in CRASH, she explores the end of a relationship or the way an end can turn into something else.
The work of GRIPPA is sure to be enjoyed by fans of bold, authentic artists like Lady Gaga and Doja Cat. She is, above all, genuine and has a lot of musical talent.
CRASH dropped in March 2023 alongside the entire debut EP from GRIPPA. IS THAT HER? is a strong debut featuring a variety of moods, which mix together musical theater, performance art, and pop, although pop of the not-bubblegum variety. GRIPPA is set to release the first track of her new album in May when she drops LUST FOR LIFE. There are a lot of projects in the works for the seventeen-year-old artist, who does her best to infuse the chaos typical of young artists and her own unique sense of style into every work that she releases with a distinctive aesthetic as well.
Stay tuned, as GRIPPA will be dropping a lot of new releases soon.
We had the pleasure of interviewing GRIPPA. Here are the excerpts from the interview.
Hi GRIPPA, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about your journey.
Hi, I’m a singer and songwriter. I’m really excited to say hi to the fans! I started off in the musical theater, but I always wanted to be a pop singer. So, I ended up writing the EP “IS THAT HER?” after I got the opportunity to meet YX, a producer from New York. Together we co-wrote the songs, and I love the way it all came out.
Please tell us about your single, CRASH.
CRASH is the last single from the EP, and it’s a slow, sad song, but it has an underlying optimism about a relationship that may be going from “over” to “healing.”
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
The more people that you know and talk to, and the more that you stay true to your vision and not compromise it, that’s when you’ll have the best opportunity to be successful.
Any message for our readers?
Thank you so much for listening to CRASH, and remember to thank your exes because, without them, you’d probably have never found CRASH in the first place.
Fantastic! So tell us, how can people find out more about you?
Thank you so much, GRIPPA, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
