“DAngel” Katharina Boger and The Editor Create Dancefloor Magic with “Want Me Back” Remix

The world of electronic music is no stranger to reinvention, and the latest collaboration between The Editor and Katharina Boger stands as a prime example. By breathing new life into Boger’s emotionally rich single “Want Me Back,” these two artists have created a melodic techno rendition that’s poised to move both hearts and feet in equal measure. With a perfect balance of emotional depth, dancefloor energy, and global appeal, the new version offers a striking testament to each artist’s creative versatility.

Melding Emotion and Melodic Techno

Katharina Boger

At the heart of this reinvented track lies the unique blend of Katharina Boger’s soulful vocals and The Editor’s signature atmospheric style. Boger, who was born in Kazakhstan, raised in Germany, and is now thriving in Los Angeles, brings a cosmopolitan edge to her music. She’s renowned for weaving pop, R&B, and trap influences into her sound while serenading listeners in multiple languages. Fans lovingly refer to her as “DAngel,” a nod to the heavenly charm and devilish swagger that underpin her music and stage persona. It’s this otherworldly mix of influences that makes “Want Me Back” a natural fit for a club-ready reinterpretation.

The Editor

The Editor, on the other hand, is no newcomer to pushing sonic boundaries. Starting his career in Bulgaria and eventually releasing work on respected labels like Warner Music and Insomnia FM, he has crafted a distinctive approach that fuses melodic techno and progressive house with cinematic richness. The Editor’s flair for layering hypnotic beats, lush synth lines, and rich textures establishes a moody yet uplifting ambiance. By blending these trademark elements with Boger’s emotive chorus, the new version of “Want Me Back” achieves that delicate balance of warmth and pulse-quickening intensity—an irresistible combination for the dancefloor.

Global Influence and Artistic Evolution

What makes this collaboration particularly compelling is how it encapsulates the global reach of electronic music today. Katharina Boger has already amassed an impressive following: 16 million Spotify streams, and hundreds of thousands of dedicated fans across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other platforms. Her career, guided by influential figures like producer Nick Turpin (known for his work with Justin Bieber and David Guetta) and vocal coach Stevie Mackey (who’s worked with J.Lo and Coldplay), has been defined by an eagerness to break boundaries and embrace new musical territories. The remix of “Want Me Back” represents another bold step forward as her voice moves effortlessly into the world of melodic techno.

The Editor’s background is similarly steeped in global connections and sonic innovation. Having started in 1999 composing for top Bulgarian pop acts, he co-wrote the celebrated single “Kakto Predi” and later developed his talents with the band EDIT. Over the years, his projects have included work featured in Buddha-Bar’s Classical Chillharmonic series and collaborations with electronic music luminaries like Richard Devine and Taiho Yamada. With a knack for blending classical inspiration and modern production, The Editor has consistently delivered tracks that resonate with international audiences. His involvement with Ultra Collective and KVZ Music LTD has only enhanced his ability to champion rising talents and foster cross-genre experimentation.

A Shared Vision for the Future

The dynamic synergy between The Editor and Katharina Boger is more than just a one-off project. Both artists are actively expanding their creative horizons. Boger continues to refine her DAngel brand—her unique concept of blending the angelic and the devilish—through new releases, videos, and fashion elements. She’s looking toward performing at international festivals, increasing her social media footprint, and exploring collaborations that push the boundaries of her sound.

For The Editor, nurturing creativity through Ultra Collective and partnering with KVZ Music LTD signals a commitment to fostering a space where emerging labels, producers, and electronic artists can thrive. Together, he and Boger are not just creating a single track; they’re contributing to a broader cultural movement in electronic music. Their remix of “Want Me Back” represents a harmony of talents—one that could inspire countless artists and listeners to consider what music can become when genres, languages, and influences collide.

Where to Hear It and What’s Next

The dancefloor-ready version of “Want Me Back” is available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify. As it takes its place in playlists worldwide, fans can look forward to more developments from both Katharina Boger and The Editor. Boger’s journey from a childhood love of music to international recognition shows no signs of slowing, while The Editor’s evolving sonic palette continues to intrigue and captivate. Together, they have shown that when two innovative minds collaborate, the result is more than a remix—it’s a fresh chapter in the story of electronic music’s limitless potential.
