I’m Kiin9 Perez. For me, it has never been about overnight fame, viral moments, or chasing trends. One of the biggest lessons I learned early is that nobody will believe in your vision more than you do.
Please tell us about your journey.
Faith has been my foundation. Growing up with health challenges, spending time in hospitals due to seizures, and facing uncertainty taught me that every day is a gift. Those experiences shaped my mindset and strengthened my relationship with God. My faith gave me the discipline to keep moving forward when circumstances could have easily discouraged me. Under my Christian music identity, SupaStarKnova, I openly share that testimony because I want people to understand that purpose can come from pain.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
For me, it has never been about overnight fame, viral moments, or chasing trends. My strategy has always been rooted in faith, consistency, adaptability, and ownership. Because of that, I made a commitment to continue building even when there was little recognition, limited resources, or obstacles standing in the way.
Another strategy has been consistency. I continue creating music, releasing content, networking, learning new skills, and improving my craft regardless of what stage I am in. Consistency compounds over time. Small actions repeated daily eventually create major opportunities. Every song, interview, article, performance, and collaboration becomes another building block in a larger foundation.
I also believe in diversification. Rather than limiting myself to one style of music, I have embraced multiple genres and cultures. My catalog includes Hip-Hop, Drill, Afrobeat, Reggaeton, Caribbean music, inspirational music, and Christian Hip-Hop. This allows me to connect with different audiences around the world while remaining authentic to myself. Music is a universal language, and I want my work to reflect that.
Networking and relationship building have also been critical. Many opportunities come through conversations, collaborations, interviews, and genuine connections. I make an effort to engage with artists, producers, media outlets, bloggers, podcasters, and supporters from different countries and backgrounds. Every connection can open doors to new audiences and new possibilities.
Another major strategy is ownership. As an independent artist and entrepreneur, I believe in controlling my brand, my image, my music, and my future.
