Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Jonika Muhammad. She is a Certified Fashion Designer and has been designing since the early age of 14 years old.
Please tell us about what it is that you do.
I am a dedicated mother of 4 children and the CEO of The Opening Apparel online clothing store. I currently reside in Waterloo, Iowa.
Please tell us about your journey.
Over time and through life experiences, I’ve created designs to make men and women feel empowered! It started with a pen, paper, and a lion as life was pulling me left and right, it was drawing that pulled me back to my centre, and it was a lion that offered me strength. My love for designing has been with me since I was 14. As a certified fashion designer, I always find my most joy in creating pieces that empower us all!
