Today, we are interviewing Anne, founder of Kind Rebel. Kind Rebel tells social stories through children's clothing and accessories. You don't just get to choose a shirt based on design, but on a loving story, you want to pass on. Show and spread your loving message to the world.

 

How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey.

After my son was born, I realized how much I wanted to tell him beautiful stories. Important stories. About respect, kindness, and being allowed to be yourself. I wanted to do that in a playful way.

I have a background in marketing and communication and always worked for various non-profit organizations. I decided to change course and focus on social entrepreneurship. That's how Kind Rebel started.

Looking back, I've always told social stories hoping to make the world a little bit more beautiful. For example, as a little girl, I told my classmates about Amnesty International and urged them to take action. I also gave flowers to strangers for years to stimulate contact. We gave flowers all over Europe, and dozens of people joined my initiative.

At Kind Rebel, we are telling social stories through children's clothing and accessories. Each shirt tells a story in a specific theme like respect, kindness, and being yourself. The story behind the shirt can be read in the accompanying Kind Rebel book.

They read the message in the book. And because the book is linked to the shirt, children are reminded of the message when they wear the shirt.

Our customers like to impart norms and values ​​in a playful and creative way. The Kind Rebel concept is unique and original.

Which social media channels work best for promoting your work? What exactly do you do on the social media channel that makes it work for you?

Our brand is now half a year old, and we currently mainly have customers from Europe. We mainly spread our message via Instagram. On this platform, we not only share information about our products but especially the stories behind them. Our goal is to spread more love, and we try to do that through our Instagram channel.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

We have only been around for a short time, but media already wrote about our brand, influencers are enthusiastic, and we were nominated for an award. We also have customers in five different countries and multiple points of sale. These results are mainly because our concept is unique and original. We all want to teach our children standards and values ​​, and this concept does that in a nice way.

Sometimes it takes patience to build brand awareness. But my motivation to make Kind Rebel a success is very clear to me: I want my son to grow up in a world where we respect each other. Where it doesn't matter how you look. And that you can be who you want to be.
