We had the pleasure of interviewing André Stewart, Author of the book, Epitome of The Mind.
Here are the excerpts from the interview.
Hi André, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.
Hi, I’m an Author, Investor, and Serial Entrepreneur. I’m the founder and CEO of InvestFar, a global real estate investing platform that allows people to buy, sell, rehab, and manage investment properties globally.
I’m also the CEO of Residual Roads Business Institute, a business education platform that teaches people how to start a business from start to revenue generation and how to invest safely in real estate as well. In addition, I host a podcast called Investing Uncensored, which covers Real estate, business, and mindset.
Please tell us more about your journey.
I grew up very poor and had a challenging background, but I became a bestselling author, now travel the world for business, and live in two countries because of changes in my mindset.
I changed my mindset starting in my mid 20’s by reading books, going to seminars, listening to podcasts, going to the library, free educational resources, etc. What you put into your mind and body is what eventually comes out. So my goal and hope are that Epitome of The Mind fosters that change in the readers. The book is available at all national retailers such as Barnes and Nobles, BAM, Target etc. The book will be free the first 3 days on Amazon kindle.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Reframing has become a strategy that I use on a daily basis because things are constantly happening to us throughout the day, good or bad. I think once a person develops the skill of learning how to reframe, almost any scenario they come across will have a favorable outcome.
I will give an example of losing money. If I lost $5k on an investment deal or let a friend borrow $2k and they don’t give it back, I reframe that and call it a seminar or a course and say I learned a lot and will not pay that much again for that lesson. I take away what I learned from that loss versus focusing so much on the fact that I took a loss.
Mindset is the number one differentiator between people who are wealthy, rich, middle class, or poor. Healthy, sick, or stress-free. We’re all humans and have the same brain, but not everyone knows the formula or thinks they can really do whatever they set their mind to do.
Any message for our readers?
I dare you to disappear for a year to focus on YOU and turn off any distractions and people who are not conducive to your success. Disconnect from social media, mainstream media, and whatever the current narrative everyone agrees on. If you can’t go cold turkey, try it for a week and see how your life, environment, and mindset change.
Challenge social norms and anything everyone agrees with, and if no validity follows, and it’s just a viral video, tweet, post, or some online platform. If there is a popular narrative, figure out the genesis of it. I’m not saying if people are correct or incorrect, but doing your own research increases your knowledge, which increases your confidence and self-awareness and develops your critical thinking.
You will go from being told what to think to learn how to think. Who wants to be told what to do anyway, so why should that be different from your thinking?
Times are changing, and for many, not for the better. Do you want to be the one following the pack or leading from the front and being able to foreshadow events or things that can affect you financially, physically, and mentally?
Fantastic! So tell us, how can people find out more about you?
You can listen to the podcast & find my contact information on my website. You can also follow me on Instagram @andrestewart1.
Thank you so much, André, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
