My latest release is the EP “Shiny Move” — a sonic journey that starts with rhythm-heavy grooves and gradually melts into emotional pop. It blends inspiration from traditional Arabic rhythms and maqamat with modern beats and pop energy. My journey started with the oud and guitar — two worlds, one story. I was fascinated by how maqam scales could express sadness, joy, and longing in a single phrase. From that foundation, I evolved into writing, composing, and eventually producing. Every sound I build comes from a place of reflection, and every lyric is weighed like poetry. This project was a leap — and it’s only the beginning.
Please tell us about your Studio Setup.
Here’s a glimpse into my current setup — a hybrid digital-analog workspace where tradition meets technology. I use an AKAI MPK mini for groove building, alongside Yamaha and Zoom processors for tone shaping. The oud and frame drum bring in that authentic acoustic soul, while the DAW and visual mixer tools help me sculpt the sonic textures. Every element here reflects how I bridge cultural emotion with modern production.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Listening more than playing. I spent years studying emotions in melodies — not just notes, but intent. I also focused on lyrical honesty, refusing to rush a song until the message felt right. Finally, I believe in respecting the listener’s mind and heart — never overcomplicating, never underdelivering.
