A Timeless Gift from Mother to Child

There’s something sacred about the bond between a mother and her child—something words often struggle to capture. That’s what makes Mom, I Wanna Know You Better…A Mother’s Journal of Love to Her Child by Bob Allen Kroll such a meaningful creation. It’s not just a book—it’s a keepsake, an invitation, and a legacy rolled into one.

This journal isn’t filled with lengthy narratives or ready-made lessons. Instead, it offers over 300 heartfelt prompt questions, encouraging mothers to reflect deeply and write honestly about their experiences. From moments of joy to those of quiet resilience, this journal becomes a vessel for memory, emotion, and enduring love. And when it’s complete, it transforms into a gift—one that children will cherish for years to come.

More Than Just a Journal

This book stands out because of how personal it is. Every mother’s story is different, and Mom, I Wanna Know You Better… understands that. It doesn’t attempt to tell a universal tale—it invites each mother to tell her own story. Whether it’s the simple delight of a child’s first step or the challenges of long, restless nights, the questions guide the mother to dig into the memories and feelings that shaped her journey.

These prompts aren’t the kind you’ll find in typical journals either. They’re uniquely crafted to stir thought and open up space for vulnerability. They encourage honesty, warmth, and even a bit of nostalgia. And because the journal is designed for future generations to read, there’s a strong sense of love and legacy woven into every page.

With a glossy cover and options for soft or hard binding, the book also makes a beautiful gift. It’s the kind of journal you’d want to keep on a bookshelf—easy to reach for when you want to feel close to your mother’s thoughts, her voice, and her love.

The Heart Behind the Pages

Bob Allen Kroll, the author and founder of the With All Your Heart Institute, brings years of insight and experience into his work. Based in Wisconsin, Bob’s mission has long been to support strong families and marriages through faith, healing, and heartfelt communication. His work focuses on helping individuals recognize emotional wounds from the past and guiding them toward healing—a theme that subtly runs beneath the surface of this journal.

Bob’s background is both diverse and passionate. He has studied theology, worked in business, coached sports, and started organizations dedicated to helping others grow emotionally and spiritually. Through this journal, he offers a quiet tool for connection—a way for mothers and children to strengthen their bond through shared memories and honest storytelling.

He’s no stranger to heartfelt projects, and this one, in particular, stands as a testament to the power of love written down and passed forward.

A Keepsake Worth Sharing

One of the most beautiful aspects of Mom, I Wanna Know You Better… is how it invites reflection now for connection later. Life moves fast, and sometimes it’s hard to stop and take the time to truly talk. This journal creates a gentle space for those conversations, without the pressure of real-time dialogue. A mother can take her time, flip through memories, and write when she’s ready.

And when she hands the journal over to her child, she’s not just giving a book. She’s giving her voice, her lessons, her laughter, her struggles—and the unshakable love that has always been there. It’s the kind of gift you revisit again and again, especially when you miss her, or when you just want to understand her a little more.

The book ships quickly and is available in both soft and hard cover formats. It’s perfect for holidays, Mother’s Day, birthdays, or “just because.” But more than anything, it’s a priceless way for a mother to say, “Here’s who I am, and here’s how much I love you.”

In Closing

Mom, I Wanna Know You Better… isn’t just for mothers—it’s for families. It’s for children who one day will read their mother’s words and feel seen, understood, and deeply loved. Bob Allen Kroll has created something simple yet powerful—a journal that helps preserve a mother’s story, in her own words, for the people who matter most.

This journal doesn’t just belong on a shelf. It belongs in the hands of every mother who’s ready to reflect and share—and in the heart of every child lucky enough to receive it.

We had the privilege of interviewing Bob Allen Kroll. Here are excerpts from the interview.

Hi Bob, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share about yourself with our readers.

Hi, I am an author and speaker on the topics of marriage and family. I grew up in Wisconsin and currently reside there with my wife of 30 years, Christine, and we have four boys, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren. I believe in the necessity of strong and loving families as the foundation for a better world.

Please tell us about your book.

‘Mom, I Wanna Know You Better…’ is a beautiful journal for mothers to share their lives with their children. There are over 300 prompt questions for Mom to express her thoughts, joys, trials, and triumphs. Once the journal is finished, Mom can present to her child/children as a wonderful keepsake for all time.

Please share your journey with our readers.

I grew up in central Wisconsin on a dairy farm. I was the oldest of nine children. My parents suffered from alcoholism, and sadly, my siblings and I suffered from a lot of verbal, emotional, and physical abuse. As I grew into adulthood, I found a way to forgive my parents and helped them turn their lives around. I have a wonderful relationship with them now, and I desire all parents and children to establish – or reestablish – a great relationship with their mother and father. This book will help with that.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

I have a strong relationship with God, and that has made all the difference.

Any message for our readers?

To have a great relationship with your father and mother is a desire we all have within our hearts. Our parents do the best with what they have, and their struggles are real and difficult sometimes. As children, I hope we can all find a way to forgive our parents if we need to and live with greater peace and joy. This book and my similar book for dads, “Dad, I Wanna Know You Better…” may help in strengthening relationships.

Thank you so much, Bob, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
