Please tell us about your journey.
I’ve been writing since childhood. I’m surprised I wasn’t born with a pen in one hand and a notepad in the other. I grew up writing for local magazines, newspapers, and various other publications. After running a family publishing company for over 20 years until its closure in 2022, I embarked on a solo journey to share stories that hold a special place in my heart.
From 2015-2022, I had the privilege of supporting preschool teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech therapists in New York State while working with special needs children. My experience collaborating with families of children with disabilities has been among the most fulfilling and inspiring moments of my life, and, in part, is why I wrote this book.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Strategies that have helped me on this journey are consistency and discipline by setting goals and completing projects, seeking feedback from family, and friends to ensure my stories connect with readers, and staying inspired by drawing inspiration from everyday life.
