Ed Salazar, CEO of SnoreLessNow is on a mission to help people stop snoring and live a better life

There are few things as important for our health as sleep. Research throughout the past few decades has shown time and again that sleep deprivation and sleep problems, from insomnia to sleep apnea, hurt our bodies and brains in pretty much every conceivable way.

What does a lack of sleep does to us? It is a contributor to a variety of nasty health conditions, not just physical but emotional as well. It might contribute to depression, heart problems, and different types of dementia, for instance. It has been linked to weight gain and difficulties with eating too much or feeling full. It can reduce the effectiveness of our immune systems and make us vulnerable to all kinds of bugs going around. In addition to this, sleep issues might lead to a greater likelihood of being involved in an accident, both in a car or in our daily lives, from slipping to hurting ourselves in the kitchen. If this was not enough, sleep deprivation or poor rest quality could lead to low energy, difficulties concentrating, a lack of productivity, a low or impaired sex drive, and many other distinct issues, big and small.

This makes it clear that sleep should be a priority for all of us for the sake of our health. And many people try to get enough rest, and yet they still wake up feeling tired.

One of the common reasons is snoring. Snoring, while seen as annoying but ultimately harmless, might indicate an issue with breathing that appears during the night. While most people can manage it, their snoring can have a significant negative impact on their sleep quality, so even going to bed early is not enough to change this situation.

Many choose to ignore the issue. After all, they reason that others can just wear earplugs and that snoring is not a big deal. But we are often likely to underestimate the negative impact of low sleep quality on each of our days. Not addressing it can go beyond uncomfortable and be outright dangerous due to the many potential consequences of not getting enough quality rest.

So what can be done about it? One of the solutions to this issue is using a mouth guard or another device for sleep. SnorelessNow is soon bringing out a new and unique mouth guard that is meant to address the problems that are linked to snoring, such as breathing issues.

The mouth guard is currently in the process of receiving FDA approval, which will certify it as a safe device and guarantee that it does exactly what it is meant to do. In the meantime, those interested in improving their sleep quality can sign up to hear all about it when it comes out.

We had the pleasure of interviewing Ed Salazar, CEO of SnoreLessNow. Here are the excerpts from the interview.

Hi Ed, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about your journey.

Hi, thanks for having me! I used to struggle with getting enough sleep and often found myself feeling exhausted during the day. I would snore loudly, and my wife would often complain that my snoring kept her awake. She often had to sleep in another room in our house. I thought that I could make up for the lack of sleep by drinking more coffee, but this only made the problem worse. I started to experience headaches frequently, mood swings, and found it hard to concentrate and not to mention the strain on my relationship.

I eventually went to see a doctor, who advised me to start tracking my sleep and make changes to my sleep routine. They also recommended that I see a sleep specialist, who, after a sleep study, diagnosed me with mild sleep apnea. The sleep specialist recommended that I use a mandibular advancement device, which would help to keep my airway open, stop my snoring, and reduce sleep apnea episodes. It is essentially a boil-and-bite mouth guard you wear nightly while you sleep. It pulls your lower jaw slightly forward, and that tension keeps the tissues, muscles, and tongue from collapsing in the back of your throat while you sleep.

The mandibular advancement device revolutionized my sleep! It made a significant impact on my sleep quality, and I slept more deeply and peacefully than ever. I tracked my sleep patterns on an app and found that my deep sleep (REM) also significantly improved! My wife states that I don’t snore at all anymore! I feel so much more energized and alert during the day. It literally saved my life (even my blood pressure improved)! This experience drove my passion to bring you SnoreLessNow.com. We’ve partnered with a premier Swiss Manufacturer to bring a revolutionary device to the US market. I believe that our mouthguard will change your life too! It isn’t currently available, and we can’t share too many details about it because we are awaiting FDA clearance. If you sign up for our e-mail list, we will be sure to give you a heads-up so that you can try it too!
