Hi, thanks for having me! I used to struggle with getting enough sleep and often found myself feeling exhausted during the day. I would snore loudly, and my wife would often complain that my snoring kept her awake. She often had to sleep in another room in our house. I thought that I could make up for the lack of sleep by drinking more coffee, but this only made the problem worse. I eventually went to see a doctor, who advised me to start tracking my sleep and make changes to my sleep routine. They also recommended that I see a sleep specialist, who, after a sleep study, diagnosed me with mild sleep apnea. The sleep specialist recommended that I use a mandibular advancement device, which would help to keep my airway open, stop my snoring, and reduce sleep apnea episodes. It is essentially a boil-and-bite mouth guard you wear nightly while you sleep.
