Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Mohamed Mandouh who has his own line of perfumes. He is an entrepreneur and founder of BYMO for Creation and branding & MO’S Fragrances.
Hi, Please tell us about your journey.
I started by mixing some oils as a hobby while I was at my sales job.
I realized they turned out to be good and decided to learn more about perfumery. I joined classes for the same infamous institutes of perfumery and started making my own perfumes.
Later, I decided to make it into a brand and sell products and wanted to create a perfume for every season.
Please tell us about your Company.
The reason I started this brand in the UAE was that I had an extensive network and knew the market very well due to my work experience in Sales.
Apart from that, I believe the UAE is a very dynamic market with people of different cultures and nationalities.
At the start, I was only selling my products online, and recently I have started distributions. I believe it is essential to find the right channels to sell on an excellent branding strategy.
I started with mere AED4000 savings and produced a few items and was sharing with my friends.
What kept me going was that when someone bought my product, they always came back and demanded it, therefore, I knew I was on the right track.
Now we sell in four department stores and even extending to Many countries.
Later I decided to create a company for Creation and branding called BYMO to help people to create their own beauty brands. We are doing everything from A to Z. I worked hard on it, and it became famous faster than I expected. We now located in downtown Dubai and we work in a lot of brands around the world.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
“I believe your co-founders should have a different set of skills, having 2/3 people with the same skill set would not create an impact. Otherwise, it is like you all are in a boat with two drivers.”

“I think believing in what you are doing is the most crucial factor.
If you love what you do, you will never stop even if you are losing money.”
“I believe if you start young, it is better as you learn more.”
“Don’t chase money, Money you lose you can always make back, but even 5 minutes of time lost, it’s gone forever.”
