Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Cordell Taylor, a Motivational Speaker, Youth Mentor, and Certified Life and Health Coach.
Can you please tell us more about your journey?
My journey has been full of ups and downs. At a very young age, I faced many challenges. Some of the challenges included; watching my mom deal with drug addiction and abusive relationships to living in a homeless shelter for months. I missed a lot of school due to what was happening in my life. I left my mom’s care to live with my dad, and things started turning around for the better. I still have the emptiness of not having a mother’s love. Still, I was finally in a stable home and able to attend school regularly. I got involved in sports, which helped me realize that I can achieve anything I put my mind to regardless of my circumstances. Even with all of the negatives in my early life, it molded me into the motivator that I am today.
Please tell us about what it is that you do.
I help empower men and women by coaching and motivating them to see their worth and, most importantly, showing them to love themselves first. I also help children affected by broken homes by giving them the hope they need to push through. I can be their guiding light because I was once just like them.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
The strategies that help me to become successful in my journey are: working on myself internally, facing my insecurities, practicing what I preach, and also loving myself first played a big part.
Any message for our readers.
Looking internal, fixes external. -LIFE
