The actress was born Nikolina Kamenova Dobreva in Sofia, Bulgaria. She emigrated to Canada when she was two with her family. She retains the citizenship of both countries and is fluent in English and in Bulgarian.
Professional Life
Dobrev debuted in 2006 on Degrassi: The Next Generation, where she played Mia Jones. She would perform the role for three seasons. After this, she appeared in various films, such as Fugitive Pieces and Away from Her, as well as various made-for-TV movies, for instance, Never Cry Werewolf and The American Mall, where she was a headliner.
