About Arnold Schwarzenegger
Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger is an Austrian-American actor, former bodybuilder, businessman, producer, and former politician. He served as the 38th governor of California from 2003 to 2011. As of now, he is currently the most recent Republican governor of California.
Arnold began lifting weights at the age of 15 and subsequently went to win the Mr. Universe title at the age of 20. He then went on to win the Mr. Olympia contest seven times in a row and remains a prominent figure in the bodybuilding scene. Arnold has written many articles and books on bodybuilding which have seen good reviews from the readers.
The Arnold Sports Festival, which is considered the second-most important bodybuilding event of the year, after Mr. Olympia, is named directly after him.
When Arnold retired from bodybuilding, he decided to pursue acting and gained worldwide fame as a Hollywood action movie star. After having previously appeared in the bodybuilding documentary Pumpiing Iron (1977), his breakthrough movie was the sorcery-and-sword epic fantasy film Conan the Barbarian (1982), which was a box-office hit, resulting in a sequel that came out in 1984. He then appeared in what is arguably considered the best action film series of the 80s and 90s, The Terminator. Playing the title character in the movie, this commercial and critically successful sci-film action film, and subsequent sequels such as Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), Terminator Genisys (2015), and Terminator: Dark Fate (2019).
Arnold Schwarzenegger also starred in other successful films such as Commando (1985), Predator (1987), The Running Man (1987), Total Recall (1990), and True Lies (1994). In addition to this, he has also appeared in various comedy movies such as Twins (1988), Junior (1994), Kindergarten Cop (1990), and Jingle All the Way (1996).
Arnold is also the founder of the movie production company Oak Productions.
Arnold’s net worth has been conservatively estimated to be at around $100-200 million. After his separation from his wife Maria Shriver in 2011, it was estimated that his net worth had been somewhere around $400 million, some estimates going as high as $800 million, based on his tax returns.
His personal relationships
Arnold was married to Maria Shriver. Their wedding took place on April 26, 1986, in Hyannis, Massachusetts. The pair have four children together: Katherine Eunice Schwarzenegger (born on December 13, 1989), Christina Maria Aurelia Schwarzenegger (born on July 23, 1991), Patrick Arnold Shriver Schwarzenegger (born on September 18, 1993), and Christopher Sargent Shriver Schwarzenegger (born on September 27, 1997). All their children were born in a Los Angeles hospital. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s family was living in a whooping 11,000 square foot home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. They also had vacation homes in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, and Sun Valley, Idaho. They frequently attended St. Monica’s Catholic Church.
In May 2011, Schwarzenegger and Shriver ended their 25-year relationship and split up.
