Andrew Herr is a Canadian actor who is probably best known for his portrayal of Jonesy on the show Letterkenny. He has also appeared as an unnamed hockey player in the Letterkenny Problems short “Hockey Players”.

Life before fame

Andrew was born and raised in the small town of St. George, Ontario, before relocating with his parents to Kingston when he was a teenager. Andrew has played two seasons of junior hockey with the Gananoque Islanders (previously called EOJHL) in the 2009-2010 season. Andrew transferred to the Napanee Raiders (previously called EBJCHL) a year later.

His career

Andrew participated in a high school production of Daniel MacIvor’s Never Swim Alone, a satire about two competitive males being locked up in a ruthless verbal confrontation. This sparked an interest for Andrew to pursue a career in acting.

While studying at the University of British Columbia, Andrew became roommates with Dylan Playfair. They would later go on to appear together in the TV movie “Mr. Hockey: The Gordie Howe Story,” where Andrew played Mark Howe. After his graduation from UBC, Andrew attended VanArts (Vancouver’s Institute of Media Arts).

Andrew has also appeared in various short films and TV movies. He was Finch in the movie “Goon: The Last of the Enforcers (2017)”, where Nathan Dale played Petr.
