My latest book is titled A Future Worth Dying For: The Untold Story of Stanisław Kazimierz Lipski. It’s a true story told through the voice of my grandfather, who was found as a baby at a massacre site near Lviv in 1917. He grew up in Poland, became a Second Lieutenant in the 3rd Carpathian Rifle Division during WWII, survived a Russian gulag, and fought at Monte Cassino. After the war, he made a new life in New Zealand with nothing but a bomb case and £10. This book is a tribute to his strength and the legacy he passed on.
