Jennifer is an author, culture journalist, teacher, and creative whose spiritual journey began early in life. Her grandmother introduced her to oracle reading through the Teuila Fortune when she was a tween and encouraged her interest in art, esoterica, and open-minded exploration. That relationship became a foundation for Jennifer’s lifelong study of intuition and mystical traditions.
Her work has grown into mass-market decks released with Hachette and Chronicle Prism, along with French and Russian translations. She has been featured in Cosmopolitan and has contributed writing to Rolling Stone and SPIN. Her creative background also includes literary horror and speculative thrillers that examine predatory trends, artificial culture, and humanity’s ongoing search for meaning.
Jennifer has traveled to sacred locations, studied with spiritual teachers, and explored traditions across the East and West. She now lives in Los Angeles with her husband, daughter, two cats, and a praying mantis. She continues to believe deeply in the power of imagination and the universe’s sense of humor.

Thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.
My name is Jennifer Sodini and I am a writer and creative that has been on a spiritual journey for the vast majority of my life. I learned to read oracle cards when I was very young, I have traveled to some of the most sacred sites of the world, studied with masters and still believe that the universe has a sense of humor and our questions are the answers.
Please tell us about your journey.
My grandmother taught me how to read oracle cards using the Teuila Fortune when I was a tween, she introduced me to art, esoterica and always encouraged me to keep an open mind. Her death was a catalyst for deeper seeking, dreaming and developing my intuition through the study of various spiritual practices. I used to read cards professionally, but in 2014 decided to close that door and focus solely on writing, teaching and creating art.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Staying humble, not taking no for an answer and staying true to my heart even when it gets hard. Paving your own way is not easy, and it requires really tough skin, the important thing I always tell myself (and encourage others) to remember is to do this for the love of it primarily. If you’re coming from that space, every win, every open door, and even every challenge will feel worth it in the long run.
