After Aaron saves his tutor, the virus mutates and targets another train carrying his mother.
The novel keeps widening its technological horizon. A military simulator shifts from 1917 to Omaha Beach, then reaches an alien battlefield with an unprogrammed language. Aaron responds in that language instinctively. Elsewhere, his advanced suit defeats cameras, radar, and infrared detection, while an intelligent building tracks his heat, heartbeat, breathing, and movement through the air. TECHMAN Part Two: The Age of Intelligence and Language expands the series through four connected story arcs. The first follows Aaron as unknown languages begin appearing across linked technological systems. Their structures keep changing, and existing translation tools produce no useful answer. Even Aaron’s brain chip reaches its limits, prompting him to build new technology that can trace the patterns to their source.
The second arc enters Dr. Robert’s laboratory, where the robotic systems Eidolon and Eidos assist with human medical trials. The research becomes intensely emotional when the United Nations sends terminally ill Thomas Ashworth, who has spent 43 years loving his wife and now lives with profound grief. He asks Robert to preserve what that love left within him and transfer something of it to his daughter.
A third storyline brings the Phantom Syndicate into sharper focus. For fourteen years, the organization has infiltrated infrastructure across 47 nations while constructing something no agency has located. Digital surveillance finally reaches its limit, forcing Aaron’s team into a military operation on the ground.
The fourth arc follows a separate 25-year hunt governed by a severe deadline: 45 days, three hunters, and one destination. What lies buried could destroy everything Aaron’s father has devoted his life to protecting. Hi, thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.
My name is Ricky Melwani. I am an Australian author and the creator of the TECHMAN series.
This is my second interview feature for TECHMAN, and this time the purpose is different. Rather than reintroducing myself, this conversation is about the five-day giveaway we are running for readers and what comes next for the series.
My focus with TECHMAN is not simply to introduce futuristic technology, but to explore what happens to people when that technology begins changing the way they think, communicate, survive, and make decisions.

The TECHMAN journey began with a simple idea: what would happen if an experimental brain chip, implanted to save a child’s life, eventually gave him capabilities far beyond what anyone intended?
That became Aaron Sharma’s story.
In Part One, readers watch Aaron grow from an eight-year-old child into someone capable of using the technology inside his mind in extraordinary situations.
Part Two expands the world considerably: unknown languages appear across technological systems, Dr. Robert begins human medical trials, the Phantom Syndicate grows into an international threat, and another mystery emerges around something that has remained hidden for twenty-five years.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
One of the most important things for me has been continuing to develop the story rather than limiting it to a single idea.
If a technology is introduced, I think about what it could lead to next. If a character gains a capability, I also think about its limitations, consequences and how other people might respond to it.
Persistence also matters enormously. Writing a large continuing series requires patience, consistency and a willingness to keep improving the work as the world of the story expands.
Most importantly, I try to keep the technology connected to human questions, because technology becomes far more interesting when the reader has a reason to care about the person using it.
Any message for our readers?
After the recent press coverage, I received messages from readers who wanted to read TECHMAN and asked whether free copies were available.
That response inspired us to make both books free for five days.
