Magic and Misfits Meet at Glyndor
Nicoleclaire’s newly revised second edition of “Guardians Of Glyndor: The Disappearing Creatures” promises an enthralling adventure for fans of magical schools, romance, and captivating mysteries. Released in 2025, this edition features fresh content, including additional chapters, enriched scenes, enhanced storytelling, stunning new illustrations, and captivating cover art.
At the heart of the story are two distinctly relatable characters. Jesse, a sixteen-year-old with a penchant for numbers, sees life as a series of calculations—counting tiles, measuring probabilities, and marking every dragging minute at his café. Numbers make the chaotic world feel safer and more predictable. Far away, Emily faces a different struggle. She’s flooded by emotions—hers and those of others—feeling overwhelmed in a society urging her to dull her sensitivity.
Life takes a remarkable twist when a mysterious woman with striking green hair steps into their lives, extending an invitation neither expected. Jesse and Emily find themselves at Glyndor, a prestigious magical school nestled in Eldora, also known as the First Earth. Here, magic isn’t one-size-fits-all; it’s intricately tied to individuality, personalities, quirks, and unique traits.
A World in Turmoil
Yet Eldora is far from a perfect magical haven. The realm is fading, its vibrant magic rapidly dwindling. The disparity grows stark as the wealthy cling tightly to their dwindling powers, leaving the Blanched—the once-magical beings stripped of their abilities—in growing despair. With the alignment of Eldora’s three moons, the world spirals further into instability. Guardians vanish without explanation, strange creatures surface, and murmurs of a dark, ancient force grow louder with each passing day.
Amid this brewing chaos, Jesse and Emily find a connection neither anticipated. Their bond intensifies as they navigate the mounting crises, compelled by feelings neither can ignore. The duo must face truths about themselves and each other, testing their identities, resilience, and courage in unimaginable ways.
From Outsiders to Heroes
What sets “Guardians of Glyndor” apart is its compelling exploration of outsider perspectives. Jesse’s mathematical obsessions and Emily’s heightened empathy—traits viewed as quirks or weaknesses in their regular lives—become powerful assets in Eldora. This transformation offers a resonant narrative about embracing one’s uniqueness and finding strength in places where others see flaws.
The deeper themes Nicoleclaire skillfully weaves into the narrative—belonging, identity, and navigating systems that overlook or marginalize—add layers of richness and relatability. Readers journey alongside characters who grapple with personal growth, friendship, and love, all while confronting injustices in a deeply flawed yet fascinating magical world.

Hi, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share about yourself with our readers.
Hi, I write under the pen name Nicoleclaire, telling stories from Singapore while juggling a day job in advertising.
Please tell us about your book, Guardians Of Glyndor.
“Guardians of Glyndor” is basically what happens when the outsiders become the heroes. Jesse’s this kid who sees patterns everywhere, constantly counting and calculating because it helps him make sense of a world that feels too chaotic. Emily feels emotions so intensely it’s almost like she’s borrowing everyone else’s feelings on top of her own. They discover there’s this whole other dimension called Eldora where their “weird” traits are actually magical abilities. But Eldora isn’t some perfect utopia. It’s got its own problems. Magic is disappearing, society is stratified between magical elites and the “Blanched” who’ve lost their magic, and these three moons are about to align in a way that’s tearing reality apart. At its core, though, Guardians of Glyndor” tackles themes of belonging, identity, and finding yourself in systems that weren’t built for you.
Please share your journey with our readers.
Setting smaller goals saved me—writing 600 words a night instead of “writing a book.” I focused on creating a story that I wanted to read. I enjoy fast-paced books, which are a mix of genres, so I’ve tried to include a mix of mystery, romance, and coming-of-age. My world-building drew from mythology across cultures, scientific theories, and observations of human nature.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
The more diverse your reading, the richer your creative well becomes. I’d bounce from mythology to quantum physics articles and all of it found its way into Eldora in unexpected ways.
