We had the pleasure of interviewing Danielle Albright. Here are excerpts from the interview.

Hi Danielle, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.

Hi, I am a mom of two boys, a wife, a 4th grade teacher, an avid reader, and a children’s book author.

Please tell us about your book, Marigold Worries.

Marigold Worries is an illustrated story that follows the adventures of Marigold, a brave and resourceful 4th-grade student who learns to cope with her anxiety. Through relatable experiences and gentle guidance from her teacher, Mrs. Pickleberry, Marigold learns to face her fears, build confidence, and find her inner strength.

The book is based on a real red-headed, sweet student named Lylah who needed help navigating her worries in my classroom.

Please share your journey with our readers.

I have wanted to write children’s books since I was a little girl. I have always been fascinated by stories and the adventures they could take you on. After becoming a teacher, I wanted to write books to help children navigate something they struggle within the classroom or in life.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

I am a busy person, so finding time to write is not easy. I have to keep reminding myself why I am doing this. I write best in the early mornings before anyone is awake, so I would wake up an hour early to focus on my writing. I still do this from time to time. I don’t make much money, but I hope that my books help at least one person.

Any message for our readers?

If you have a dream, you can make it happen if you work hard. Once you know what you want to do, figure out the steps to get there and conquer them one at a time. I didn’t write my first book until I was 36.

Fantastic! So tell us, how can people find out more about your book?

You can find all of my links to my book, my social media accounts, etc, on my Linktree account.

Thank you so much, Danielle, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
