Bestselling Author from Ireland Abby Wynne talks about her Book Series ‘The Inner Compass Trilogy’

Awakening and Transformation make up the first two books of The Inner Compass Trilogy. It comes from author and healer Abby Wynne, a preeminent figure in the fields of Shamanism, Energy Healing, and beyond.

Abby Wynne has a private practice in Dublin, Ireland, and her work centers around helping people reconnect with their souls and open themselves to new life experiences. She works with clients from all over the world and does online programmes, such as the 21-day Raise Your Vibration Bootcamp, monthly online healing group sessions, a newsletter with the best energy healing, and a growing social media community with many like-minded individuals. But The Inner Compass Trilogy takes Wynne’s work in a new direction. With an engrossing story and compelling characters, she explores issues of spirituality and growth.

Awakening was her first novel, now followed by Transformation. Awakening chronicled the journey of Marissa, a woman who finds her life left in pieces and now has to put them back and reclaim her magic. Through helping others, she is able to embark on a spiritual path that takes her to Peru and more, leading to unexpected discoveries and joys.

Transformation delves deeper into Marissa’s journey. It follows just as Awakening leaves off and follows her new troubles as she does shamanic work, builds up her life, and helps others. Transformation offers deep insights of wisdom in an easy-to-understand package of story and characters that can capture the reader’s attention and keep them coming back for more, as the third installment of the Inner Compass Trilogy is sure to follow the other two and have the same quality and endearing tale that includes a lot of ideas for self-growth and development.

Wynne brings all her insights from the energy work she does and her focus on shamanism, which allows readers to discover not only a relatable story but also open their minds to new possibilities and ideas for their spiritual journey. With Marissa, they might have some surprising insights about themselves and the world and discover a whole new field of healing and energy that might not be as well-known.

At the same time, the novel offers a strong and relatable story with a central character who is sure to be recognizable by many facing the same difficulties, like a breakup or a loss of self. As Marissa heals, so can the reader, creating a therapeutic experience through the text. The novel offers a great experience for readers looking for something affirming and spiritual that explores the way in which we can improve our lives.

We had the pleasure of interviewing Abby Wynne. Here are the excerpts from the interview.

Hi Abby, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.

I’m a Shamanic Psychotherapist and best-selling author from Ireland. I teach people how to heal themselves, and I found on my own journey of spiritual growth that there are many pitfalls and beautiful experiences along the way. I wanted to write a fictional book all my life, so I thought that I’d combine the magic of healing with our day-to-day reality to create a character that people can relate to. It’s the perfect way to introduce healing to someone who wouldn’t know about it, validate experiences for anyone who is working in healing, and to tell an exciting and interesting story at the same time.

Please share more about your book series, The Inner Compass Trilogy.

It’s a semi-autobiographical journey of growth and self-love, weaving magic into everyday reality through the eyes of a therapist-in-training.

What was the inspiration behind this book?

My life! I wanted to illustrate how the human psyche works in the realms of the imagination while spinning a good yarn. Many of the stories and issues Marissa’s clients experience have come into my office over the years, and I thought people might find them interesting, as well as going on a journey of growth alongside the main character as she heals her heart and finds her way in the world.

What kind of research did you have to do for it?

Twelve years of private practice as a shamanic psychotherapist! Alongside all my years of training, I guess I’ve been researching for this book most of my life!

Which character was your favorite to write?

Besides Marissa, who is the main character, I love Terry. He’s a model, gay, and very funny. He’s also deeply intuitive, maybe not so wise at times, but he has a good heart.

To which character did you relate the most?

Marissa is a little more confused than I would have been in real life. She mulls things over and writes stuff down in a notebook when it bothers her – which is something that I used to do when I was her age too. She persists; she’s courageous and not afraid to make mistakes or learn from messing up. Though she’d rather not make a mistake, she knows it’s the way forward.

Why should we read your book?

When I was small, I always thought I was magic, but the world stamped it out of me quickly. I never felt like I belonged here. During the course of my life, I grew more confident to pursue learning about things I was actually interested in rather than doing what I thought I needed to do, and during this, I discovered my inner magic. This book is the story of Marissa doing the same thing, learning how to combat low-level anxiety, find her self-confidence, and step up strongly to claim her place in the world. So if you want to be inspired to remember who you truly are, to be reminded that we are so much more than this physical body, and to cultivate relationships with your spirit guides, angels, and as an aside, to learn how to heal, then this book is for you!

Please tell us about your other published works.

I have published many self-care books and practical guides teaching people how to feel better. I thought that changing the genre for The Inner Compass Trilogy would be another way to share the magic of how we think, how we grow, and how life can dance with us when we become aware of our energy and our inner power.

When not writing, what can we find you doing?

Hanging out with my family, I’ve got four children, a dog, and a cat. I’m also a healer. You can find me hosting online healing sessions and supporting ‘Abby’s Healing Circle’ 😉 I’m also on Telegram, Instagram, and Facebook.

People can find out more about me through my website, Abby’s Energy Healing page on Facebook, or shor.by/abbywynne, where you can find my latest offerings. My Instagram is @abbynrghealing, and I’m on Telegram too.

Thank you so much, Abby, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
