Hi, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.
Hi! My Name is Brandi Huang, though my stage name is BrandiWyne ( Brandi-Wine). I am a vocalist/ recording artist from Seattle, Washington!
Please tell us more about your journey.
I started singing and writing music at a young age. I think I was about 8 when I entered my first songwriting competition. I love to travel and will perform at any chance I get. I’ve even made appearances in various countries such as France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Japan, Taiwan & most recently, Cancun, Mexico.
My original music blends rock, blues, R&B, and POP to make a unique sound that is constantly evolving. By incorporating the lost art of storytelling through song, I try to make my lyrics personal and inspired by life.
After a run of well-received singles and EPs, I’m super excited to have caught the attention of World Movement Records and recently signed to their label.
Please tell us about your latest single, ‘Never Enough.’
I’m really excited to talk about my latest single, ‘Never Enough.’ I always loved this song, written for “The Greatest Showman,” but I was sad it never got any radio attention because the lyrics are amazing! I decided to put my own spin on it, and with the help of Tyler Mays at IronGrove Studios, we made a pop/rock version! I was even more excited when one of my favorite guitarists, Robert Fisher of HEART, decided he liked it too and would be our featured guitarist on the song! He is such an amazing musician and such a nice guy. I’m very proud of what we all created!!
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Resilience for a start. As a musician, you can’t be discouraged when you hear the word “NO.” You will hear it a lot until you finally get a yes. You also have to believe in yourself and your product. This means putting the time and money into yourself to do things right. No one will support you in your dream if you don’t show you are doing all you can yourself first. Be patient, be kind, and love what you do because, in the end, that’s what matters most!
Any message for our readers.
Be sure to support indie artists and local bands, but also, please support music programs in schools. I’ve heard so many stories about how a music or drama class “saved” a person during their school years. Myself included. It kept me out of trouble and gave me a way to express myself. Some have told me it was the only thing that gave them joy & actually kept them from self-harm!! The arts programs in schools are soo undervalued, yet super important. Please support music in your schools.
