“There’s no competition when you do things your own way” – says Joe a.k.a. T.R.I.H, Artist and Actor from New Jersey.

Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Joe, also known as T.R.I.H, an Artist and Actor from Paterson, New Jersey. His co-star role in ‘About A Teacher‘ is available on Amazon. Mixing flows of Boom bap, Trap, as well as LoFi; T.R.I.H shows a variety of sounds in his discography.

Can you please tell us more about your journey?

I was born and raised in Paterson, NJ, and if you know where it is, then you know not to come here, the city can get rough, but over time, you get used to it in a way. I always knew I wanted to be in the entertainment industry, I loved watching T.V. and Movies, but I didn’t know where to start. That’s when I decided to go to Rosa Parks school fine and performing arts for the acting program. It was there that I started to pursue music too. After I dropped out of college, I got my first co-star role in the movie ‘About A Teacher‘ and decided to take music more seriously.

Please tell us about your music.

It’s hard for me to explain my music. I feel like different songs give you different feelings. I wouldn’t consider it one genre for sure. In the beginning, it was for fun; I was just trying to find my sound. You could actually hear some of my influences in my first two projects a little bit. But once people started supporting me and telling me how my music made them feel, I started getting more comfortable being creative and opening up.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

Staying focused on what you want to do with your time here, visualize what you want, and always listen to yourself. There’s no competition when you do things your own way.
